i boarded the ship with my little sister, rose, following behind me. luckily, i was the favourite child and i could do whatever i wanted, without having an arranged marriage and little rules. but my sister was the opposite, i felt bad for her, i was basically her therapist and best friend.

"rose! come on!" i laughed, she did too and held my hand as we found our room.

*time skip to when jack saves rose bc im LaZy*

"i was leaning over to see the uh...uh...the uh..." rose couldn't find the words, so cal butted in.

"propellers?"

"yes, i was leaning to see the propellers and I slipped, and if mr dawson here didn't save me, i would've gone overboard" rose finished, that's when i saw him face on for the first time, he had sandy coloured hair and tanned skin, and the deepest blue eyes i have ever seen.

"thank you for saving my little sister mr dawson, what can we do to repay you?" i asked, he smiled at me and stared for a short while.

"nothing, really it's fine. i would've done the same for anyone"

"lovejoy, i think a 20 should do it" cal said, looking between lovejoy and rose.

"is that the going rate for the woman you love?" rose sneered, clearly upset and angry.

"how about you join us for dinner tomorrow night?" i asked him, mother rolled her eyes.

"sure, i'll see you tomorrow night then..."

"y/n"

"pretty name for a pretty lady" he kissed the back of my hand, making me giggle quietly.

"i'll see you tomorrow..."

"jack"

"handsome name for a handsome guy" i imitated him, he smiled, "thank you again, jack" he nodded and put his hands in his pockets. i waved goodbye to him and held roses hand as we walked back to our suite.
