Lightsabers Are the New Blasters

A lightsaber was a Jedi's weapon. Just like blasters were the Republic clone trooper's weapons. Lightsabers were not only a Jedi's weapon but they also made a fine addition to General Grievous's lightsaber collection. They were definitely not something to leave about waiting for the wrong person to pick them up and take them. 

People that do not know how to wield a lightsaber, should definitely not try and use them. Obi-Wan Kenobi did not realize that giving his clone troopers lightsabers was a bad idea. He didn't think that Waxer or Boil would have ignited them and try to duel with each other. He didn't realize that Cody would have tried to run down the halls yelling that he was a Jedi because he had a lightsaber. Or that Cody would almost cut Rex's hand off because Cody had been waving the lightsaber around like a madman. He certainly didn't expect for Comet to be hiding in a corner because he was scared to get his head cut off from a lightsaber. Obi-Wan didn't think that Wolffe would be screaming at every lightsaber-wielding clone for being loud, obnoxious, and annoying. He knew that his former padawan was reckless and never thought things through but he never realized that Anakin would give Hardcase and Fives lightsabers. He didn't realize that Rex would have gone to the 79's bar with the rest of his brothers and getting extremely drunk because of dealing with Fives and Hardcase.

Nope, Obi-Wan had simply told them to deliver the lightsabers to Mace Windu. He thought that they would be responsible and do what they were told. He hadn't been expecting what had actually happened. Well, lesson learned. Obi-Wan will never hand Waxer, Boil, or Cody a lightsaber again. He would rather give Grievous another lightsaber for his collection. 

Here's where the mistake began...

"Cody, Waxer, Boil.  I have to go and save Anakin from the mess he got himself into. Mace Windu contacted me saying he needed these lightsabers immediately. Seeing as I have to go and rescue Anakin, I have decided to have you three deliver the lightsabers to Mace Windu for me. Can I rely on you three to get the job done?" Obi-Wan said handing the lightsabers to them.

"Sir, the lightsabers are in good hands. We will get them to General Windu as soon as possible. Now go and rescue your old padawan." Cody said. Obi-Wan nodded and got in his starfighter. He knew he could rely on them to get the job done. Or so he thought. 

Almost immediately after Obi-Wan had gone the three grinned at each other knowing that Mace Windu would not be getting the lightsabers anytime soon. Cody was serious and he always did things by the book, but he did know how to have fun when he wanted to. Cody had always wanted to use a lightsaber and he sometimes wished he could be a Jedi. Waxer just wanted to own a "laser sword" and so did Boil. They finally had an opportunity to get to use a lightsaber and they were not going to let it go to waste. 

"Finally! I get to use a lightsaber! How do you ignite this thing? Where's the trigger to release the laser thingy? Oh, it's not a trigger. It's a button! Ohhh... I got a green lightsaber!" Boil said while swinging the lightsaber around in the air. He swung it around very fast and the lightsaber was thrown across the room. 

"Good one Boil. You're lucky that didn't hit anyone. Anyways, I have a blue lightsaber. The only other laser colors I have seen are red and purple. General Windu has a purple one and the Sith use red lasers. What are the lasers even called? I know it's not called a laser." Waxer said testing out the blue lightsaber. He made sure his lightsaber stayed in his hand. 

"I think they are called Kyber Crystals. Or at least that's what General Kenobi said. He said the color of the crystal is the color of the blade itself. I have a green blade, which means the Kyber Crystal is also green." Cody said. He had asked General Kenobi about what lightsabers were. He had wanted to know if they were more than a simple laser blade with a handle. He had really wanted to ask if it was possible for a clone to become a Jedi. Cody wanted to be a Jedi, badly. Except he knew he couldn't because he wasn't force sensitive. He had cursed the Kaminoans for not making him force sensitive. He didn't understand the basic fundamentals of the Force, so he didn't realize that you couldn't create someone to be force sensitive.
