Baby Clones Pt. 2

"I could've sworn Rex wasn't a baby earlier!" Anakin complained as he rocked the baby captain back and forth.  

"Yeah? Well, my best friend is a baby!" Kix yelled as he held baby Jesse. Jesse laughed and hit Kix on the head. "And he's being mean!" he added rubbing his forehead. 

"Our captain is a baby! What if we need him to go on a mission?" Tup said.

"Hey, we dealt with Echo and Hardcase. I'm sure we can handle Rex and Jesse." Kix replied. 

"Yeah, but my captain is a baby! He woke up as regular Rex and then I looked away from him and then I looked back and he was a baby!" Anakin yelled.

"Okay, and? Just deal with it, General." Kix sighed. "We're on leave, anyways."

"Do you know how stubborn Rex is? He'll be a lot to handle as a baby!" Anakin shouted.

"Really, Anakin? I think Rex got his stubborness from you!" Obi Wan said walking into the 501st quarters. 

"Who gave you permission to come here? I certainly didn't!" Anakin shouted.

"I have something, rather someone to show you." Obi Wan said, ignoring Anakin's previous comment. Obi Wan stepped to the side and in walked Plo Koon and the Wolfpack. However, Wolffe was a baby as well. 

"Why are all the clones turning into babies? This is so weird and I hate it!" Anakin complained as he handed baby Rex to Obi Wan.

"Anakin, this is your captain. You need to be responsible for him! Don't give him to me!" Obi Wan sighed as Rex pulled on Obi Wan's beard. "Ouch, that hurt!" Obi Wan exclaimed.

"Ubby Wan" Rex giggled as he tugged on Obi Wan's beard again. Obi Wan groaned and handed Rex back to Anakin.

"Maybe we could just leave them with Senator Amidala? She may be good with kids." Anakin tried, as Rex tugged on a lock of Anakin's hair.

"You just want an excuse to see her, don't you General?" Hardcase said with a smirk. He peered down at the baby Captain in Anakin's arms. 

"Just be quiet, Hardcase. If General Skywalker thinks he can be secretive then let him. Just let him think that his relationship with the senator is a secret." Fives said, with a grin.

"I shall pretend I didn't hear anything about Skywalker being in a relationship and forming an attachment." Plo Koon said, as baby Wolffe pulled on Plo Koon's breathing mask. 

"Yeah, that wasn't very smart of you to say that when Buir was listening. I mean you're Fives and you're stupid, so I shouldn't be surprised." Comet said, rolling his eyes.

"You used to be so nice to me. Wolffe has corrupted you into a mini version of himself." Fives muttered, shaking his head.

"No, he hasn't! Anyways, I was only joking. You're clearly smart enough to be an ARC, you know." Comet said. 

"Can we just get back to the matter at hand? We do need to figure out why our best troopers are turning into babies." Obi Wan said, stroaking his beard.

"Here we go again, with the intense beard stroaking." Hardcase whispered at Fives and Comet. The three of them laughed and every one looked at them.

"It's not that funny, Comet. Our pack leader is a baby, how is that funny?" Boost scolded with a frown.

"Forget about Wolffe. Who cares about that grumpy commander?! My captain is a baby! And he's a very annoying baby, too!" Anakin grumbled as Rex grabbed fistfuls of Anakin's hair and tugged them harshly. 

"It doesn't make any sense. Rex was regular Rex, earlier. He just turned into a baby when we weren't looking at him!" Hardcase said. "I just want the Captain to be normal, again." he wailed.

"You and me both, Hardcase." Anakin huffed as Rex tugged harshly on a strand of Anakin's hair again. "WOULD YOU CUT THAT OUT, REX?" Anakin yelled making the baby clone captain cry.

Obi-Wan shook his head and took Rex away from Anakin. "I think that we can all agree that Anakin is terrible with babies." Obi-Wan said trying to calm Rex down.

"Yeah, he'd make a terrible buir." Comet snickered and quickly shut up as Boost gave him a look. "Sorry General Skywalker." he added hastily. 

"No, no, you're probably right Comet." Anakin said with a laugh. Comet breathed out a sigh in relief. 

From nearby, Jesse clapped his hands together. Kix had gotten used to the fact that his best friend was now a baby.

It had happened so fast and Kix barely had time to register what happened. The baby clone, Jesse, had been sucking on his thumb and the next second, he'd been back to a normal clone. Kix shrieked as he wasn't expecting that to happen.

"Jesse! What just happened?" Kix shouted out. Jesse shrugged and looked around the room at all of the pairs of eyes staring back at him.

"I can tell you what happened. It's called a certain Jedi Padawan decided to turn the clones into babies," a gruff voice said. Everyone turned around to see Wolffe, who was no longer a baby.

Obi-Wan looked down at Rex, who was still a baby. It made no sense to him that the other clones had changed back but the clone captain hadn't.

"Hey! That's not fair! You said you wouldn't tell, Wolffe!" yelled a voice that belonged to Caleb Dume.

"Yeah? I said that before you decided to go and turn me into a baby!" Wolffe argued. Caleb rolled his eyes.

"Padawan Dume? How are you able to turn the clones into babies?" Obi-Wan asked, frowning and stroking his beard. 

"Who cares? Just tell him to stop doing it and make him turn Rex back!" Anakin said, before Caleb could answer. 

"Nah, I think Rex should stay a baby for at least a little while longer." Caleb said, ignoring the look on Anakin's face. 

"Caleb, how were you able to do this?" Plo Koon asked, his expression hidden from his mask. 

Caleb shrugged. "I really don't know. Hardcase was annoying me and then I pictured him as a baby so that he'd leave me alone. I though about him waking up as a baby and then Echo passed by and then I thought of him as a baby. When I heard that they'd been turned into babies, I told Wolffe what had happened. He told me he wouldn't tell but then I saw him biting a shiny and then I pictured him as a baby. Then this morning I snuck into the 501st quarters. When you weren't looking, I turned Jesse and Rex into babies. I can also change them back whenever I want so I'll change Rex back later." Caleb explained. 

Obi-Wan was in shock. Comet grinned and wished that he was a Jedi. Anakin was mad, along with Wolffe. Plo Koon smiled from under his mask. The other clones didn't even know what to think.

"Ugh, whatever. Just don't do it again, Caleb. And change Rex back!" Anakin ordered. Caleb simply shrugged. 

"Okay, I won't do it again. And I'll change Rex back when I want to." Caleb said with a grin, as he walked out of the barracks.

"CALEB DUME! CHANGE MY CAPTAIN BACK RIGHT NOW!" Anakin yelled.

"Fine."
