We had all been looking forward to the Hogsmeade trip that weekend. If I was being honest, it's what kept me going through the week. Naturally, we made a beeline for Honeydukes. True to my word, I grabbed an armful of chocolate frogs off the shelf.

"Got enough there?" Emmy asked, chuckling and raising an eyebrow at me as I struggled to carry them all over to the till.

"What? Chocolate makes everything better."

The rest of our Hogsmeade trip was spent walking around the picturesque town. The weather had definitely got colder and all three of us were wrapped up in our house scarves and hats. It wasn't quite cold enough for snow, thank god. It was cold enough as it was.

We stopped walking when we reached a clearing in the woods that provided the perfect viewing space for the shrieking shack at the edge of the village.

"It's supposedly the most haunted house in Britain," Maddie said, eager to share her piece of knowledge.

I heard there was a murder there." Emmy added, cockily confident.

"I don't think that's true." Maddie queried, her brow furrowed in thought, Emmy shrugged.

"You want to go in and find out?" She asked and Maddie fell quiet,"Not even the ghosts want to go in there." Emmy added to the ghost stories about the shack.

"Who told you that?" I asked, not believing her. If Maddie wasn't going to speak up after Emmy shut her down earlier, I would.

"Sir Nick."

"Fair enough then," I shrugged, "I didn't know they could even leave the castle."

Emmy cocked her head as if she were thinking and said: "I dunno but it's not like they've really got anywhere else to go."

After our brief sightseeing, we decided to head back to the castle. Despite wearing two jumpers, a scarf, gloves and a hat, I was cold to the bone. We walked back through Hogsmeade just in time to see the twins walking into Hogsmeade. The eyed us suspiciously. I say 'us', they were mainly looking at me.

"What's their deal? Why are they being so weird?" Emmy said once they were out of earshot.

"I just assumed it was because they were weird guys," I said, shrugging. Emmy nodded

Yeah, that is true."

I always looked forward to the Halloween feast every year! I loved seeing all the decorations and the amount of food was enough to please anyone. The only downside was that, because it was a feast, Emmy had to sit with her own house.

I caught her eye from across the hall and waved. She waved back and went on chatting to Lee Jordan who she was sitting next to. The twins sat on the other side of Lee and, as well as Emmy, they're also looking at me. I frowned and waved back at them. Almost immediately they looked away and started whispering with each other. I was just about to mention it to Maddie when the house ghosts appeared. I always liked talking with the fat friar. Despite being dead and a ghost, he was very approachable.
