When I woke up in the morning I was in my daily mood, of course. I'm not gonna go on about my alarm clock again so I'm just gonna get right to getting ready. I put on a pretty cute outfit, one of my favorites actually. I finished getting dressed and decided to do my hair. I don't know why but I decided to just let my natural hair breathe for today.

I got ready and didn't take as long as usual because my hair. I went downstairs and the first thing I see is a shocked face on both my brothers. Why were they looking at me like that? I don't like it. Bryce finally said "well look who didn't take a year to get ready! And your hair isn't straightened. Either you got lazy or your in a good mood." Bryce was right. Whenever I'm in a good mood I let my hair be free. Honestly I don't really know what my mood was. I just nodded and said "yup. Now let's go." We all got in the car and drove to school.

Once again, I walked in and all eyes were on me. I did my usual and put you head down and walked to my locker. Charli came running at me and said "Oh my gosh! Your hair! Ah it's not straight!! I always loved when you wouldn't straighten your hair!!" Charli always loved my curly hair. It was really funny because we always wanted to switch hair. Hers is more straight and mine longs like a lions mane. "Yeah I was in a good mood this morning so I let it stay. So how's cheer going?" Charli said "really good actually. I'm cheering at your game tomorrow!!" Wait we have a game?! Who was gonna tell me this! I just smiled and Charli and went along with it and we went to class.

When we got to class everyone just looked at me. I sat down in my seat next to Charli and we just talked until some of the football kids came in. Josh being one of them. Josh came and sat next to me and said "what's the curly hair for?" I just laughed. He didn't know? "My hair is naturally like this. I usually straighten it because I hate this hair." Josh just laughed at me and said "well it's cute. You should keep it." You could tell he wanted to say something else but Ms Fisher came in and started talking. I hate this teacher.

She looked at me and said "oh nicole your mom do your hair? You like her little Barbie doll or something?" What was wrong with her. She knows what happened too. The boys and charli looked at me to see what I would do. I stood up out of my seat and saids "you know dang well what happened." I grabbed my books and left the classroom. Where was I going? No clue, anywhere but that room.

I ended up in the school library because no one really cares who's in there, even the librarian as long as you go to the school your allowed in. I sat in the corner on one of the beanbag chairs and just thought. I hated when people mentioned my parents. It just makes me really mad and upset about the whole situation. I was in deep thoughtful till I heard someone "Nicole..?"

I looked up and saw Josh. If anything I honestly wasn't surprised. I was on the verge of bursting into tears so I said "yeah..?" "Are you ok nicole. Ms Fisher was being a jerk and she knew it. You seemed pretty upset and everyone was either worried or confused." Did josh really care? It's kinda nice to know someone cares but I'm too embarrassed to express how I feel. "I'm fine." By the look on joshs face he could see I wasn't fine.

"Nicole come here." I stood up and josh pulled me into a hug. It felt nice to get a hug from someone. I held back my tears and said "so why do you care so much?" He just laughed at me. "Why? Because a pretty girl like you doesn't deserve to be sad. Or to even be In this whole situation your in." I couldn't help but smile. I mean come on.. if the popular boy helped you in school wouldn't you be happy?

"Thanks josh.. I'm just gonna chill here till practice.. you should go back." Josh said to me "I'm good, I'm gonna hang here with you because you seem pretty chill and I'm bored of that class." We both laughed and hung out in the library all day until football practice like we said we would.
