Chapter 24: please dont go

Josh thinks I'm cheating on him. This is bad. I pulled away from the hug and said "j-josh it's not what it-.." He stopped me and said "looks like your cheating with my bestfriend. Seriously Nik." I bursted into tears. "Josh I would never! I love you and only you! Please it's not what it looked like!" Josh just stood there. I just turned around and walked off with tears streaming down my face. I started to walk home. Great now it's pouring rain. There was a huge puddle on the side of the road near me and now a car flying down the street. The car drove through the puddle and got me soaked. Just what I wanted. Great.

I was now shivering. It's still raining, and it was cold.  I just walked to the park and sat on a bench. It was dark now and I couldn't really see but I heard someone coming.

I looked at Nicole in disgust. How could she cheat on me with my bestfriend. She tried to talk but I didn't listen, causing her to run off. I looked at jaden and said "how could you jaden!" He said "Josh seriously you gotta listen. Jackson was trying to get all over her. She looked petrified so I got him away and tried to calm her down. She's like my little sister, I could never do that." Oh shit. I messed up. I said "shit. I'm so sorry jaden, I gotta go find her before it's too late." Jaden looked confused but I Didn't stay to explain. I ran to my car and drove around trying to find her. I got to the park, and there she was, sitting on the bench soaked. I walked over to her and she jumped once she heard me.

I turned around and saw it was only josh. I wiped my eyes and said "j-josh.." before he said anything he lifted me up and hugged me. "Josh I-I'm sorry.. I didn't cheat.. j-Jackson.." Josh wiped the water from my face and said "I know, jaden told me. I'm sorry nik." I smiled a little bit and said "it's ok. Don't be mad at jaden either. He was just trying to help me.." Josh said "I know. He's my best friend. I know he was trying to help." I smiled and he gave me a kiss. I kissed back and josh said "wanna come sleepover by me? We can have a day to ourselves tomorrow." I smiled and said "ok lemme text tayler and let him know." Josh said ok and we walked to his car. And I texted tayler.

Nicole: hey tay I'm gonna stay over at joshs tonight ok?
Tayler🙂: ok don't be stupid please!
Nicole: don't worry. I'm too tired to be stupid.
Tayler🙂: ew gross 🤮
Nicole: 😂😂

Once I finished texting tayler we finally got to joshs house. We went inside and just went straight to joshs room. Josh threw me a pair of "still softish" sweatpants and one of his hoodies and said "get changed baby your soaked."  I smiled and got changed in his bathroom quickly and came back out. As I opened the door Josh gave me the look at smiled. I smiled back at him and said "what are you looking at?" He smiled and said "the most beautiful girl in the whole world." I looked around and said "where is she, I wanna meet her." Josh pulled me close to him and said "you really aren't confident about yourself huh."

Honestly, not really. I never knew why all these boys wanted me. I knew they never did anything because of my brothers but the thought I was pretty. I never saw it. "N-not really. I don't see what everyone else does. When I look into the mirror all I see is a basic white girl with a fucked up life." By this time me and josh were cuddling in his bed. Our faces centimeters apart. He kissed me and said "well when I look at you I see a beautiful girl, who loves her friends and brothers. Would do anything to make anyone happy." I smiled and put my head on joshs chest. I could hear his heartbeat, it was calming.

Josh had his arm around me keeping me close to him, which I didn't mind. I loved josh, like a lot, but I knew he was hiding something. Whether is was a family thing, or just some old drama, he's hiding it and probably embarrassed by it. I could tell by how he doesn't talk about himself. I want to know but I will wait till tomorow to ask, I don't wanna push it.
