After class ended I was the first one to get out of there. I already had my stuff for my next class so I went to bryces locker. Luckily he was there. I went over and said "Un fucking believable. How could she just come back." Bryce said "whoa calm down. She most likely won't bother you during class." I rolled my eyes and said "but maybe fisher had no problem calling me out in front of everyone."
"Look, I know. Just go to class and try to ignore it. Act like she's someone else and show her what she's missing out on." I smiled and and "ok, thanks Bryce.. see you later." Bryce said goodbye and I walked off to my next class.
~after school~ Once the school day was over it was time for the game. I went to the locker room quickly and got changed. I put on my uniform and went to the field. I stood by the team and coach said "whoa, hall you all good?" He was talking about the bruises. "I'm all good.. never better." Coach slightly nodded and said "mhm. So everyone, playoffs game one! We have to win atleast three games to be qualified for championships. We will also not lose. All of my starters on the field!" We all got onto the field into positions.
The referees blew the whistle and we started to play. I was not in the mood to let anyone tackle me or my teammates so I played pretty hard. Everyone else realized but they just let me roll because I was obviously hiding something.
At half time everyone went back to the bench and coach said "hall you sure everything is ok?" I said "yes. I'm fine. Just trying to focus on getting the win." Coach nodded and suddenly the other teams coach and referees came over.
"Coach james it appears to me that you are violating rule 22, there cannot be any other gender playing I. This game besides male. So I'm gonna have to ask you to get this princess off the field." Did he just say what I think he said.. "excuse me?! Who are you calling princess. I haven't had a problem with playing on this team. I mean I've been on the newspapers a lot and no one has ever bugged me. But now you think you can just come here and tell me to leave?!" The announcer of the game was then informed of what's going on.
Announcer: and what is going on now? Is opposing teams coach taking out the rule book?! It has been concluded that number 27 Nicole hall has been benched for the rest of this years season because of violation of rule 22, no females can participate in the game. Unless if she can get signatures to overwrite this rule, her senior season is over!
The crowd went wild with anger. If I wasn't playing, i didn't want to sit there and watch.. it's too hard right now. Wait. My scholarship.. what about my scholarship?! I ran off the field to the locker room and sat on the bench inside by my locker.
Anger was flowing through my body along with loads of sadness. The thing I love to do the most, ruined. I can't believe it. Maybe that coach only did that because they were going to lose. I'm just pissed.
I sat in the locker room for a while.. till the game ended actually. That's when I got an idea. I remembered hearing the announcer say that if I got some signatures I could get rid of this rule. That's gonna fake some time and I don't have a lot of that.
"Theee Dolphins win! Country high dolphins win!" Well, atleast we won. I got off of the bench I. The locker room and changed out of my football stuff. I left the locker room and saw my brothers standing there waiting. I didn't say a word, just walked to Taylers car. I sat in the passengers seat and still didn't say anything.
~bryces pov~ I don't think I've ever seen Nicole this mad. Yes, when our parents left, but that was more of sadness. I mean she's had one heck of a week. Starting with getting a football scholarship, then me and tayler getting hurt, then Baxter, then Jackson, and now today mom is her teacher and football is ruined. I mean, that's a lot. We got home and none of us said anything.
She was going to snap, I knew it. If anyone said one word she's going to lose it. Whether it's her breaking and crying or her ready to beat someone up, it was coming. When we got inside she went straight to her room and locked the door. Luckily, I knew she was too mad to hurt herself. This time she wanted to hurt someone else.
~Nicole's pov~ When we got home I went straight to my room locking the door. No one said anything. I noticed Baxter sitting on my bed so I sat down and pet him, calming myself down. Baxter fell asleep pretty quickly but I was still wide awake and angry. I decided to go for a swim in the pool to try and calm down. I changed into a swimsuit quick and went out.

When I went through the main floor towards the backyard Tayler said "where are you going?" I snapped a little and said "where do you think tayler. Huh? Where." Tayler said "alright jeez." I continued going outside and got in the pool. I took out o e of the lounge floats and sat in it. I was on my phone until I heard the back door open.
I looked up and saw the boys (Josh, jaden, Anthony, griff) standing there. "What guys." They all looked at eachother, smiled, and ran towards the pool. Next thing I knew there was a huge splash and they were all in the pool. "Guys!" I hopped off the float and put my phone on the side of the pool. Josh cane over to me and just gave me a hug.. I really needed one.
"Now we aren't letting you not play the rest of the season. We are gonna get the petition and make everyone sign it." I smiled and said "but that's gonna take forever.." Jaden said "no, have you seen how many people at this school love to watch you play? I mean.. almost everyone. Besides the nerds and Loren." I laughed and said "I'm gonna need help though.."
"We are gonna help you Nik. Come on." Josh lifted me over his shoulder and took me out of the pool. He set me down by my towel and we all sat in the pool chairs and talked. We got a piece of paper and each signed it so we have our first five signatures. After, my brothers came out and signed it.
We all sat outside and talked while we dried off. I was sitting next to josh and he just kept his arm around me trying to help me feel better. Eventually it got pretty late so all of the boys went home and I went inside. I took a shower and changed into cozy pajamas, then went to bed excited to get some more signatures tomorrow.
