Chapter 47: found.

~joshs pov~
It's now Monday. We spent two days looking for Nicole but found nothing. We have a playoff game today and she's not even here to play with us. I was at my locker getting my books for class when I felt a gap on my shoulder. I turned around and saw jaden and he said "anything?" I shook my head no and said "I'm worried jaden.. what if we never find her. What if.." I dead cut off by Charli coming over to us. She still doesn't know Nicole is missing.

"Find who?" She said curiously. I knew Charli was suspicious so I said "my mom.. she uh.. she is taking care of my sister now but we don't know where." Charli said "oh that's horrible.. have any of you guys seen Nicole?" Jaden said "nope, she told us she still didn't feel well after the party." Charli laughed and said "this why I told her not to party too hard, now she's gonna miss the game. Wait, she would never miss a game." Me and jaden walked off to avoid questions and went to Bryce.

He still looked like a wreck. "Bryce Charli is onto us. Come on we gotta tell her." Bryce said "look, I think we should too but tayler doesn't want to break her. Trust me, she's going to freak." I nodded and me and Jaden left for class. When we got to class we sat down in our seats and noticed we had a substitute teacher. I remember Nicole telling me her mom was our new teacher so maybe she had something to do with this.

The teacher said "ok listen up for attendance!" She called everyone's name and when she got to Nicole's she said "Nicole hall? Anyone see Nicole hall?" I said "she's absent today.." the teacher nodded and gave us our work to do. I did my work through the whole class and kept getting distracted thinking about Nicole.

After school ended I went to the locker room and changed for the game. Griff said to me "find her yet?" I shook my head no and said "n-not yet." He nodded and we all went out into the field where we would usually wait for Nicole to come running over to us. It was weird not sing her come today. Coach cane out and said "ok boys, anyone see hall?" Jaden said "she's not here.. family issues." Coach said "that's not good. Ok now we gotta win alright." Everyone nodded and went onto the field into positions.

~Taylers pov~
I was sitting in my room doing my online school work when I remembered something. I ran into Nicole's room and found her laptop and went onto find my iPhone app. It found the location of her phone and it said she was on the other side of town near the woods. I took a picture of the location and called the police.

911: 911 what's your emergency?
T: hi yeah um my sister she went missing two days ago. She was taken by our father and no one can find them. I believe I know where she could be but my dad will hurt me if I go there.
911: ok could you tell us the address and we will send officers there?
T: yeah sure.. the address is 22 Main Street..
911: ok , I have sent some officers to go check it out.
T: ok thank you.

I hung up the phone and ran downstairs. Bryce was sitting on the couch and I said "get your ass up I found her." Bryce jumped up and we ran to my car. When we got in I set the location on my google maps and drove there. When I pulled up there were some cops and an ambulance. The ambulance had someone on the stretcher. It was Nicole.

I followed the ambulance to the hospital and Bryce texted josh. This is what he sent.

Josh
Bryce: come to the hospital. We found her.

Josh didn't answer because he was at the game playing. I felt bad because I could tell how much he cares about her and how much this hurt him. I mean, the poor kid thinks it's his fault.

~joshs pov~
After the game ended we won by one point, something that wouldn't have happened if Nicole was here. We would've beaten them by like ten points. I got into the locker room and changed when I took my phone out and saw the text from Bryce.

I started to change faster and ran out of the locker room. Jaden followed me and said "what happened?" I said "they found her and shes in the hospital." Jaden smiled and said "ok go. Call me and let me know if she's ok." I nodded and ran to my car and drove to the hospital.

When I got there I went into the waiting room and saw Bryce and tayler. I sat with them and said "where was she..?" Tayler said "on the other side of town. The doctors said she was beaten badly and they found her tied up in the basement." I frowned a little and we all waited till we could see her.

~Nicole's pov~
I had passed out earlier because I was hungry and had no water. When I woke up I was sitting in a hospital room but no one was with me besides a doctor. "Oh miss hall your awake. There are some people here to see you." I nodded and the doctor left.

A couple minutes later the door opened and Josh, Tayler, and Bryce came in. They all looked like a mess. Josh cane and hugged me really tightly. I could feel his pain.. or was that my pain. "Princess I'm so sorry." He whispered into my ear. I whispered back "I-I'm ok." Josh pulled away from the hug and Bryce hugged me. He was crying, I could tell. "We are sorry nik. If we didn't let dad get us he wouldn't have gotten you." I said "I'm ok.. really."

Tayler laughed a little and said "there is no way you ok. You look like a wreck." I grinned a little and said "have you three looked in the mirror, you all look like a mess." Josh said "well, I just got back from the game so I have an excuse." It's nice to talk like nothing happened. It just makes me feel better. "T-the game.. oh shit I missed the game." Josh said "hey don't worry, we won. And the only people who knew why you weren't there were me jaden ant and griff."

I said "wait.. Charli.. who told her..?" None of them said anything. You've gotta be kidding me. "You didn't tell her didn't you. Come on guys." Tayler said "look, I didn't want to see her fall apart. That girl could fall apart faster then a tower of cards." I mean, he's not wrong. I don't want to worry her. "So, what did you tell her?" Josh said "jaden told her you didn't feel well." I nodded and laid my head back.

I still had a bad headache and I was sore everywhere from being beaten up. The door to the room opened again and jaden came in. "Hey guys." I smiled and said "hey jay.." he gave me a hug and said "so, you ok?" I laughed and nodded my head yes. He smiled and we all sat there and talked about what happened.

Bryce said "He got arrested. He won't bother you anymore." I looked up and said "really?" Bryce nodded and said "and mom is well.. Um.." I knew what he was gonna say. I stopped him and just nodded. I could tell he knew that I know. "I know.. h-he said he already took care of her the first day I was there.." Tayler gave me a hug and said "it's ok, they weren't good people anyways.

I looked up and said "actually.. mom was changing. She signed my petition for football so I could play.. she told me I should've prove her wrong.. and I am." Tayler hugged me tighter and said "it's ok. Even if she was, you could never be positive it was permanent." I nodded and the doctor cane in and said "ok visiting hours are over but I will let you guys stay because you have some catching up to do. Don't be loud." Everyone nodded and jaden said "yeah i better get going, I gotta get home." Said bye to him and he left. After a while I ended up falling asleep because I was comfortable for the first time since Saturday morning.

A/n:
Ok so these last three or four chapters I did today are kind of a mess so sorry about that.. also it's 2:15am where I live so I'm gonna update the story tomorrow.. we'll technically later, when I get the chance 🤍
