37. I GOT YOUR BACK

Elijah's POV

After having a heavy lunch and tub of ice cream, I went to my room to relax but I didn't feel comfortable.
I knew what I needed. I needed Marcus. I was so needy these past days, I couldn't sleep without him and so he slept with me in my room. I tried calling my yoda prince but he wasn't answering my calls.
Where is he? He told me he would take some time off to spend time with me but where was the idiot.
"Marcus, you better have a good reason you're not next to me," I lashed out as I sent him a voice message. I got out of bed and set out to look for Mr. Wilson.

"Mr. Wilson. Where is Marcus? I can't sleep without him," I cried out as soon as I saw the man and pouted. I didn't mean to be such a child but I couldn't help it. My hormones were all over the place.
"I'm sorry, Master Elijah. The Prince stepped out some time ago but he should be back soon," he said and at that moment I heard Marcus's deep laugh.
My heart filled with joy as I heard his voice but my smile turned into a frown when I saw him enter, hand in hand with Sienna.
WHAT THE HELL IS SHE DOING WITH MY MAN.
I walked up to them without thinking blocking their path before putting on a fake smile.

"Hey Marc, where have you been?" I asked.
"Oh. Hi Eli...I was...I was out treating, Sienna...yes...I was out treating Sienna, since she's the one that saved you and all," he said scratching the back of his neck looking even more suspicious.
What was he up to? How can he treat the enermy? Oh, by the way he doesn't know.
But Sienna should know better than to push my buttons. I turned to her and gave her a 'what do you think you're doing' look and she rolled her eyes at me.
"Sienna, you look tired. You should go rest," I said with a forced smile.
"Actually, I'm wide awake and Marcus and I were just about to go out for a movie. We just came back to freshen up," she said with a grin as she held Marcus's hand.

I knew she was trying to provoke me but I wouldn't spoil my plan by exposing her now. What I didn't understand was why Marcus was allowing her to be that close. Like they were dating.
Sherard and Olin had told me that Marcus had proven that his heart was mine when I was at the hospital and so everyone automatically backed off.
Well, except for the woman standing before me who keeps forgetting I could easily ruin her. Her attempts meant nothing to me but my heart hurt seeing Marcus so close to her.

"Marcus, is this true?" I asked trying to keep a straight face.
"Elijah, we are just hanging out. There's no harm in that. Stop acting like we are married. A lot can happen this coming week," he said.
"What are you trying to say?" I asked hoping it wasn't what I thought it was.
"Eli...I'm...I'm not so sure about us...anymore," he said and I couldn't hold the tears that fell down my eyes.
"You're such an ass, Marcus," I said after slapping him but he gave me a blank look.
I rushed to my room before throwing myself on the bed.
Why? Why is he doing this to me? He promised to never hurt or leave me. Now all of a sudden Sienna looks like a better option than me.
I cried my heart out. What about Peanut and Strawberry? What about the promises he made to me?
I cried myself to sleep.

I woke up when I felt arms wrap around my waist. I turned and came face to face with the last person I wanted to see.
I pushed Marcus but he was stronger with his arms holding me in place.
"Go away, you jerk!" I cried out but he only pulled me closer and hugged me. He hurt me but I couldn't help but yearn for his touch and so I pulled him closer.
"I'm sorry, Eli, baby. I didn't mean what I said earlier on," he said and I looked up at his face puzzled.
"If you had told me from the beginning that Sienna is the one who hurt you then that wouldn't have happened. I was mad you kept it from me but now I'm more angry with myself for making you cry. Please forgive me, Eli. I love you and only you," he said and I was filled with relief.
"You bastard. You almost gave me a heart attack," I said as I punched him on the shoulder.

"I'm sorry, I didn't tell you that she was the one who pushed me down the stairs. I wanted to handle this on my own without stressing you," I said feeling bad for keeping the secret.
"We are a team now, Eli. Which means we don't keep anything from each other and we do things together," he said and I felt all warm inside.
"I understand, Marc. It's you and me now," I said.
"I got your back," he said.
"I got your back," I repeated the words and meant it.

"I need you to be able to support me as my queen and be there for me. Because I will always support you and be there for you, baby boy," he said before he kissed me.
"Yes, Daddy," I said before kissing him back. Soon things got heated.
If it wasn't for the fact that I was already pregnant, I was surely going to get knocked up that night.
