32. I SCREWED UP

Author's POV

Olin, Sherard, Oscar, Lexi, Ethanael, Ellen, Alyssa, Daniel, Tiffany, Alston, Irene and Sienna all sat quietly in the hospital waiting room. Everyone was shocked when Sienna ran outside struggling to speak with tears running down her eyes.
"Sienna, what's wrong?" Irene was the first to rush to her aid.
"Eli...he...fell...stairs...help..." She wasn't making any sense but as soon as Sherard heard Elijahs name he rushed into the house.
When he screamed Elijah's name everyone came rushing into the house to find an unconscious Elijah at the bottom of the stairs with blood covering half his face while the rest stained the carpet.

"Someone call an ambulance!" Sherard screamed and at that moment Mr. Wilson appeared and took action.
He was very worried about Elijah and made sure the ambulance was there within ten minutes.
"OH NO Eli. DON'T DIE OR I WILL KILL YOU!" Sherard said but his friends knew that was how he expressed his grief. Olin was crying and Oscar held back his tears as he comforted the other male.
Alyssa, Tiffany and Ellen were also in tears. In the few weeks they were there they actually got to become friends with Eli.
For Tiffany, it was after their sing off but they got along very well after.
Honestly everyone liked Eli and hated to see him this way.

Soon he was taken to the hospital and no one stayed behind.
Mr. Wilson was busy filling in the paperwork by the front office when Chris, Ross and Jarvis arrived.
"Baby," Jarvis was the first to speak as Sherard ran into his embrace.
Olin was still sobbing in Oscar's embrace and gave the males a nod as he continued to comfort his friend.

"Where's Eli?" Jarvis asked.
"Is he okay?" Ross asked.
"What happened?" Chris asked.
"Eli is in... surgery right now... We have no... idea if he is okay ...no one has ...told us anything... I have no idea what... happened. We just found ...him at the bottom ...of the stairs." Sherard struggled to speak but was relieved when all the words came out.

"Yeah. How did Eli end up like that? Care to explain Sienna? Considering you were the first one to see Eli and call for help," Ethanael asked with a suspicious look.
He knew Sienna didn't like Elijah and she had already done some spiteful things to the younger male because of jealousy.
"I...I...I..."
(I know you're all wondering if she's going to tell the truth or not)

"...I have no idea...wh...what happened...I just found him like that...on the floor," she said before bursting into tears and Irene hugged her and comforted her.
"That's bullshit. We all know you hate Eli and what better way to get rid of him than to push him down the stairs." Ethanael got up with rage in his eyes shocking everyone with his accusation.
"I...I would never...do that." She defended herself. Ethanael was about to advance on her when Ross and Chris held him back.
"Calm down man," Chris said.
"Let's make sure Eli is okay first and then we can figure out what happened, okay?" Chris said but Ethanael still kept his focus on Sienna.
"Okay?" Chris said again and this time Ethanael looked at him and nodded before sitting back down.

Everyone was silent again except for a few sniffles here and there.
"Have you told him?" Jarvis asked Mr. Wilson who nodded in response.
"How did he take it?" Jarvis asked clearly concerned about his friend.
"Not too well," Mr. Wilson said. If you found out the love of your life fell down a flight of stairs while pregnant with your child you will surely break down.
With the way Marcus loved Elijah, he was surely freaking out wherever he was.

"Is he on his way?" This time Ross asked.
"He rushed to the airport as soon as he found out. He should be here any minute now," Mr. Wilson said. Even before informing Marcus and his parents about the accident, he had already prepared the private jet.
He might have looked serious and composed but Mr. Wilson was extremely worried about Elijah and the baby. He took a very nasty fall and he looked like he broke some bones.
"I hope Eli will be fine," Ellen said as she wiped fresh tears as soon as she thought about how Elijah looked when they found him.
"Don't worry Ellen, he will make it. His injuries were not that bad and this is coming from a medical student. Eli is too sassy to allow himself to go this way," Lexi said with a sad smile.
"That's so true. I can imagine Elijah beating up the grim reaper and demanding to be brought back because he died in the least glamorous way," Oscar said and a few people laughed.
"He is so crazy, he would actually do that," Olin said with a sad smile. The mood was now stable but that didn't last long.

A few minutes later Marcus arrived looking like a mess.
"Prince Marcus," Mr. Wilson was the first to get up and meet Marcus.
"WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?! DIDN'T I ASK YOU TO TAKE CARE OF HIM WHILE I WAS AWAY?! WHERE IS HE?!" Marcus lashed out.
"Prince Marcus, I'm sorry but we are not sure what happened. We don't know how or why he fell down the stairs. Right now, Master Elijah is in surgery," Mr. Wilson explained but he knew he wasn't providing much comfort or information. He was also awaiting the doctor's feedback just like everyone else.

"YOU DON'T KNOW? WHAT THE FUXK IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN? YOUR JOB IS TO KNOW EVERY SINGLE THING THAT HAPPENS IN THE PALACE!! WHAT USE ARE YOU THEN?!" Marcus lashed out, advancing towards Mr. Wilson but Chris, Ross and Jarvis held him back.
Everyone was shocked at the way Marcus was acting but he didn't care he was crazy worried about Eli and Peanut. His first real love and child.
"Calm down, Marcus," Chris said to the other male.
"HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO CALM THE FUXK DOWN WHEN Eli IS IN THERE FIGHTING FOR HIS LIFE AND THERE'S NOTHING I CAN DO TO HELP..." Marcus immediately broke down and cried.
"I screwed up...I should... have been... here... I shouldn't have... left him... Now I'm... going to lose... both of them." Marcus struggled to speak and the last part was more of a whisper.
