Author's POV

The night everyone had been waiting for, had finally arrived. The selection was happening at the grand hall of the biggest hotel in Oasis.
Everyone was excited about the selection ceremony because they would finally know who was going to be their next queen.
People not only from Oasis but all over the world attended the event. Dr Kim, and Chase, also stood amongst the crowd.

Soon the gang arrived to support their friends, looking great as usual.
Amy arrived shortly after, with a few friends, and as mentioned before her parents were no where to be seen. Everything went on, and finally the King and Queen arrived and stood at the top of the stairs dressed like the royalty they are.

"Good evening to you all. Thank you all for joining us tonight for this memorable occassion. The day Oasis finally meets their future Queen,"King Christian said and the crowd screamed in joy as they clapped their hands.
"I went through the same thing when I was the same age and that's when I met the love of my life and your current queen," he said looking lovingly at his husband, who smiled in return with the same look of love and affection.
"I would like to introduce you all to this years candidates of the selection," King Christian said and soon the group walked in as their names were called one by one.
They each walked down their steps to the positions assigned to each at the edge of the stairs.

The King spoke a bit more before calling his son, Prince Marcus.
Looking more handsome than usual even men and women from the crowd were in awe of his mesmerizing looks.
"I, thank you all for attending tonight ceremony. I honestly didn't want to be part of this in the beginning. I found it hard to believe that out of all the people in the world, I would find my soul mate. I say soulmate because this person is not just the love of my life but another part of me, that makes me complete. I would like to thank our ancestors for making this possible. For making it possible for me to meet you," he said and the crowd went wild knowing the prince had found love in the ten.
Well now, they were nine but no one seemed worried about it.

The prince then raised his hand and the crowd went silent.
"Do you see this ring on my finger? It's one of kind and only has one matching partner which I'm carrying right here," he said showing the crowd.
"And only one person can receive it and that person is your queen," he said and the crowd went wild again.
Marcus started taking small steps towards the guys standing by the steps and walked right in front of Elijah.

"Will you be my queen?" He said kneeling on one knee, just like what he did yesterday, on the rooftop, but this time it was more official and in front of the whole nation.
Even if Elijah knew this was going to happen, the fact that this was really happening kept him in a frozen state and everyone, even viewers at home who were watching were silent.

"Yes. I will be your queen," Elijah finally said and the building literally shook with praise and celebration. Marcus slipped the ring on his finger for the second time and they kissed.
After hours of congratulations from lots of people, Marcus and Elijah were led to a private room, where their parents were waiting for them.

Elijah's POV

"Congratulations, my baby," my mother screamed with joy as she hugged me.
"I knew he would choose you," my dad said and I just rolled my eyes before hugging him.
"Who knew the black sheep of the family would bring us honor," Elton said.
"Says the blue sheep," I said but we still hugged.
"It's an honor to finally meet you. I have to thank you properly for sending Elijah to me," Marcus said with a bow.
"We should be thanking you for settling him down. We have noticed that he has changed a lot," my mother said and they talked a bit more.

"Now that we are all well acquainted we need to discuss their wedding," Queen Dion said.
"Already?" I asked in shock. I thought we would wait a little while.
"I know you don't want to marry with a baby bump but its tradition that the wedding should happen within the next month," Queen Dion said.
"Baby bump?" My family asked in shock.

"Well, yeah I was going to tell you guys... that I might be... kind of... pregnant," I said and their reaction shocked me. Mom screamed in joy while dad smiled and congratulated Marcus and I. Elton just smiled.
"This is a great news. It's soon but that's alright. Is it a boy or girl?" My mom asked in excitement.
"It's too soon to tell but they are twins," Queen Dion said and the mothers screamed together with excitement over their grandchildren. 
"Got knocked up by a prince. Nice," Elton said and I just laughed.

After few more discussions, Marcus and I left the wedding preparations to our parents.
I thought we would head home but Marcus took a different route. He took me to the place he had taken me to, when he bought me the car. It looked so beautiful and everything was lit up with white candles.
"Thank you for all this," I said before I kissed him.
"I originally thought this whole arrangement was crazy and planned to give you hell but I couldn't help but be drawn in after I knew that you were the so called prince, I was supposed to impress," I said and he just laughed.

"I was also going to rebel but then, when I found out you were there, my plans were ruined. Because from that moment, I knew that I had been captured by your mesmerizing eyes with no hope of escape. I love you, Eli. Always have and always will," Marcus said before kissing me again.
"I love you too," I said as we kissed again.
Who would have thought I would be here today. All because I met my Prince Charming.
I'm in this condition all because I got Royally Screwed by the Prince of Oasis Island on the first night we met.
And guess what.
I don't regret it.
