31. DON'T MESS WITH THE QUEEN

Marcus's POV

Baby Eli
Hey, Marc
I miss you
Peanut misses you too

Prince Charming
Hey, baby
I miss you both like crazy
I can't wait to get back home

It had been 3 days since I have been away from home. I had to attend a congress meeting with my dad and meet a lot of important people as the future King of Oasis Island.
I may look like I like to play a lot but I take my responsibilities very seriously. After a week of living with the torture of my punishment for getting into a bar-fight my dad finally gave me a serious talk and we sorted things out.
As long as I stayed out of trouble and did all my duties excellently, I could basically do as I pleased. I still had 5 years before I took the throne so he advised me to enjoy them while I still could.

Things were different for my dad. His father passed away when he was 25 just when he married Dion. He had to grow up real fast and take the responsibility earlier.
It was tough because he had just started his preparation. That is why he started my training when I was just 21. Just to make sure I was prepared for anything.
I could be a king today with no stress but please let me enjoy my free time while I still can. There is so much I wanted to do with Eli before we took over from my parents.
It's even better now that we have Peanut on the way. I loved our little baby already. We are going for a check-up as soon as I get back to make sure all is well with Peanut.

Baby Eli
I love you💕

Prince Charming
I love you more, princess

Baby Eli
Yah😣
I'm not a girl

Prince Charming
It doesn't matter
You will always be my Princess
You're my soon to be Queen

Baby Eli
😆

"You seem extra happy these days," my dad said as we waited for our order of dinner.
I totally forgot they were here. That was the effect Eli had on me. Even on the phone, it felt like only the two of us existed.
Gosh, I sound like someone out of a soppy love story. When did I become so cheesy.
"Really? I guess things are good," I replied with a smile as I put my phone away.
"Could this have anything to do with a certain someone?" He asked and I could feel myself blush. Duncan Elijah, what are you doing to me?
"This must be love," my mother said giving me a knowing look.

Ever since he found out my feelings for Elijah and the fact that he was pregnant with my child he has been extra happy.
I love the way he loves and takes care of Eli. They are basically best friends now and I admit, sometimes I get jealous when they hangout.
"I can see the dates are going well. Is it too soon for me to ask who has caught my son's attention?" My dad said and I bit my lip in response.
I wanted to tell him so badly but I was only allowed to tell them later. Mom finding out was a mistake but it turned out great because my mother's awesome.
They are not allowed to influence my decision and this is why I can't tell him. All he can do is watch from the sidelines and wait like everyone else.
" Sorry dad. You know the rules," I responded with a smile.

"I know, but you can't blame me for being curious. All the candidates seem like great people. Some stand out more than others but I was more worried you might have trouble finding someone you're compatible with. Seeing you happy because it seems you found someone in the crowd makes me happy. I didn't want you to end up compromising because you just needed to make a choice," my dad said.
"Thank you, Dad. I really needed to hear that. I originally thought this whole arrangement was crazy but things have changed. I can't say much now but I think, I truly found the one," I said thinking about Eli. He was truly the one for me.

At that moment mom's phone rang.
"Hello dear... Is everything okay? ... That's good ... Really... Hold on," he said before passing the phone to dad.
"Hello...Oh, how are you?... Okay, what can I do for you? ... With who ... No problem ...Have fun then ... Just make sure you don't break anything ... My pleasure," he said as he cut the call and laughed.
"Who was that?" I asked.
"It was Elijah. He sure is quite interesting, that one," my dad said and my mother agreed.
I wonder what he was up to this time.

Elijah's POV

I missed Marcus like crazy and even Queen Dion wasn't around and so I felt lonely.
What to do? What to do?
Then it came to me and I rushed to the lounge where everyone was relaxing and watching television.
"Hey, guys. Sooo... How about we have a pool party?" I said and I have never seen so many bright smiles at once in my life.
"Is that even appropriate?" Well, except for Sienna. Little Miss Perfect.
"Loosen up, Sienna," Ellen said in response.
"This is the palace not a brothel where you can just throw mindless parties," she said and everyone went quiet.

Well, not me. This might be a palace but it's my palace and today I'm going to show her who's the boss. I pulled out my phone and dialed a number.
"Who are you calling?" Ethanael asked.
"The Queen," I said while looking directly at Sienna. She looked just about ready to blow.
"Good afternoon, Your Highness ... Yes, everything is good ... I'm sorry for troubling you but I needed to ask something ... Yes, could I please speak to the King ... Thank you ... Good afternoon, Your Highness ... It's Elijah ... I'm great, thank you ... I'm sorry for troubling you but I have a request ... Since prince Marcus is not here to entertain us I was wondering if we could have a little party ... Just us and a few friends ... Thank you so much ... We definitely will ... We definitely won't, I promise. You are the best," I said and grinned as he cut the call.
Everyone looked at me expectantly.

"Who's ready to party?" I screamed and they all jumped in happiness. Even Lexi was up for some fun.
"You could have just made a fake call. There's no proof that the King and Queen would have casually agreed to this insane idea." Sienna just had to be a kill joy.
But luckily at that moment Mr. Wilson came to save the day.
"Master Elijah. I just got a call from the King that you plan to have a party and I should provide everything you all need," he said and I turned back to Sienna, who just stood up and left the room in annoyance.
As soon as she left the room we all screamed with joy.
DON'T MESS WITH THE QUEEN.

An hour later we were all by the pool in swimwear having crazy fun.
Olin, Sherard and Oscar even joined us which made it all extra fun.
Others were singing. Others were dancing to the music playing. Others were just talking, eating and laughing.
I felt bad for Sienna and so I decided to go and invite her to join us. I met her at the top of the staircase.
"Hey, Sienna." I said trying to break the ice.
"What do you want?" She lashed out but I kept calm. Stress is bad for Peanut.
"I can see you don't like me. I get that we are basically all fighting for one man but that doesn't mean we should become enemies. I know you were as bored as all of us, so let's put our differences aside and have fun together. Come join us for the party. There's no alcohol and we aren't planning anything crazy so you have nothing to worry about," I said and all she did was look me up and down like I was below her.

She better not think that I won't... breathe, Eli. Stress is not good for Peanut.
"You might think you can fool everyone with your innocent act Elijah, but I can see right through you. I don't want to be part of your stupid party and I don't want to even see your face because you make me sick," she spat as she turned to walk away.
I kept my anger in check but I still held her hand to stop her.

Sienna's POV

He held my hand and in a moment of rage, I turned back and pushed him away.
I realized too late that I pushed him too hard and he fell at the edge of the stairs and tumbled down until he got to the bottom.
Only silence followed.
Oh no. What have I done?
