AHSAB.
A week has passed since Ana left the palace, an entire week of feeling like my whole world had fallen apart in an instance because it had. Ana was it, my world, my reason to be and be happy and loosing her made me feel like the person I was again.

I hadn't been able to think or feel straight ever since but I had been trying. I had changed, I knew that and it was because of her but her leaving wouldn't change me back no matter how much it threatened me. I still love her. She was gone but she was here, her love stung in me and stayed with me.

I'm in my study trying to get some work done knowing full well I won't be able to. Only one thing is on my mind or I might as well say one person. I asses the contract one final time before signing on it, I sign another not bothering to read it. The legal team will have to go through them again.

I hear the door open and I raise my head to see Baba. My eyebrows cross in anger and I clench the pen. Baba. He was the one who told Ana about it, he gave her the plane tickets. I was going to tell her about her Dad, of course I was. We had explained our pain to each other and I couldn't do that to her. I was just waiting for the perfect moment. But he ruined all of that.

As much as I hated this he was my father but hell he didn't know how to be one. He never even confronted me about Ana instead he did her hoping to intimidate her. His little plan on making me marry Princess Farah wouldn't work. She was nice but I love Ana and I wouldn't marry anyone but her.

"What do you want"I answer settling my gaze steadily on his.

He walks through before sitting on the chair and I flinch because Ana used to sit there and she would watch me work and crack jokes. I missed her so much. It hurt. "You can't stay angry at me forever Abdullah"he says firmly.

I choose not to answer him and instead ponder on my thoughts but it doesn't take him long to speak again. "I was just looking out for you, Son"he adds.

I take a deep breath already feeling the anger start to boil up in me. I didn't want to explode but it would only take a minute or another word from my filthy father. "She wasn't fit to be your wife, now Princess Farah is the one"he explains.

I smash the table with my gist making Baba to stand up abruptly. "How dare you interfere with my life". My whole life had been molded by him. I think it was time I got my own say in what I wanted.

"Don't you dare raise your voice at me"he points a finger at me.

I chuckle before grabbing a bottle of water and gulping a sip trying to calm myself down. After seeing my position he regains his by settling on the couch. "Listen Ahsab"he begins.

"Think about the country, this could be the beginning of a revolution for change. The new Mana. Princess Farah would stand by your side, she will be your one and only wife and will certainly make you happy"he tells me.

I exhale a deep breath. "Baba"I start to say steadily. "I won't marry anyone and certainly not the Princess. You can get her married to our other brothers but I will only marry one woman and only her"

Anger clouds Baba's eyes and he stands up. "You will marry only the Princess, over my dead body you marry that slave"

I clench my fist because I might as well punch him in the face. "Don't you dare talk about Anan like that"

"I will talk about her however and whatever I want. She is a woman of color and it is far beyond our tradition"he exclaims.

"I don't care. She makes me happy, I love her
and I'll wait for her no matter how long it takes."I take no time in replying his words with a matching tone. "You respect her, racist"

He lets out a laugh. "You will only wait for Princess Farah"

"If you adore her so much why don't you marry her yourself"I grin and his face creases with anger. I fold my arms not regretting my words. Baba is about to speak when her soft voice interrupts us. I turn towards to see Princess Farah standing by the door. Baba must've left the door open when coming in.

"Enough"she says. Even when demanding her tone is low and deeming respect.

"Princess"Baba chuckles. "Salam, Salam"he beckons towards the seat but she nods it off straightening her posture.

"I am not some bounty reward"she said. Baba's eyes widen and he knows she heard us. "I won't force your son to marry me and for my own sake I have refused to go along with this"she continues.

"But"Baba stutters. "The engagement party is tonight"he adds. "We must come to a middle ground, I'm afraid you have misunderstood"

"I heard everything Your Majesty"she pronounces. "I hope you know that many Prophet and companions were person of color, I wonder if you see demean then to"

Baba is shocked and so am I. Princess Farah really did live up to expectations and more. I didn't know that any woman or man would be able to stand up to my father aside from I but she did with grace. She strove for herself and I admired that.

"I'll be leave for home tonight"she voices before taking a breath. "I'm sorry I wasn't what you wanted Abdullah"that was the last thing she said before exiting the office. Baba lays in the couch in defeat and I strode away from the office.

Farah is walking away and I call out. "Princess". She slowly turns around and I don't miss the tears that are around her eyes.

"This has nothing to do with you. I'm in love with Ana and I can't undo that"I say.

She smiles. "Of course not. A wise woman told me that you can't undo your past but you can move on. You shouldn't give up on Anan, you go after her and give her whatever time she needs but be there for her"she advises.

"Thank you"I mutter. "It was nice to meet you Princess and I hope we can still work out being acquaintances even though we couldn't work this out"

She chuckles. "I'm afraid that's not possible".

I'm confused and I know it shows clearly on my face. "Kidding"she says. "Of course"she adds. "I'll see you soon"she finally says before walking away.

I watch as her footsteps disappear into the hall and I know one thing. I've closed this chapter of my life and I need to the one thing. Go after Ana, wait for her no matter how long it takes.
