Gwendy watched as Cynthia left the deck of the cruise. She remained floating in the water with the devilishly handsome stranger who had just approached her and Cynthia before Cynthia took off. Gwendy wasn't sure why Cynthia had left, she wanted Cynthia to have fun and relax on the cruise, but maybe that wasn't Cynthia's thing. The water that was freezing just seconds ago, had returned to its normal temperature.

"Huh," said Corbin. "Well that was weird."

Gwendy looked over at him. His chiseled jaw was lifted with a proud, he had on a pleasant smile and his feather-like black hair was dripping with water.

"Why'd your friend leave?" he asked. "Not that it matters or anything..."

"I don't know." started Gwendy. "Maybe she had to use the restroom?"

Corbin looked over at the restroom area on the cruise ship's deck. There was a restroom area right beside them near the pool. Corbin didn't want to snap back a smart remark at Gwendy or make her feel dumb, so he remained silent and nodded slightly. Does she not see the restroom areas right over there? He thought to himself.

Gwendy couldn't get her eyes off of Corbin. He had sparkling green emerald eyes just like hers. His eyes were surrounded by thick black eyelashes that matched his hair. He seemed to be a rich boy, and light skinned rich boys were something Gwendy was totally into.

"So," Gwendy said in a bubbly tone. "Where are you off to?"

"I'm heading to america." said Corbin with a smile. "What about you?" Corbin knew that the cruise ship was headed towards america, everyone on the cruise ship was going to the same location. He assumed that Gwendy wasn't dumb and was just trying to make pleasent conversation.

"I'm going to america as well!" said Gwendy happily. "I'm actually going to Chicago to do some business work." She smiled. She couldn't tell Corbin that she was searching for a human being like her with super powers to save their universe; she thought it would sound cheesy. Plus, she couldn't tell anyone that she was a colorful host anyways.

"Oh?" said Corbin. His eyes lit up and they wondered around Gwendy's face. "What kind of business work?"

"Haha well," trembled Gwendy. Her mind raced to think of anything and the first thing that came to her mind she spat out, "I'm shooting a porno with my friend."

Corbin stared blankly at her. "Oh."

Gwendy smiled and Corbin had zero expression on his face. She awkwardly brushed back her damp blonde curls with her hand. The pool water around them seemed to become completely still. Corbin just stared.

"Um," started Corbin. "Okay..." he said quietly. "Well anyways," he cleared his throat, "I don't think I got your name."

"It's Gwendy." said Gwendy with a smile. "Gwendy Bellamy."

Corbin smiled softly. "What a pretty name." he said. For giving off such a playboy first impression he seemed to be much more mellow now that he was alone with Gwendy. He noticed Gwendy blush. "How old are you?" he asked.

"I'm sixteen." said Gwendy, "You?"

"Seventeen." replied Corbin. "Where are you from?"

"I'm from Alaska," said Gwendy. "I was visiting a friend in New Zealand."

"Nice," said Corbin, "Is she the one who went running away after I intrigued your swim session?" he chuckled. His voice was deep and very mature for a seventeen year old.

"Yeah," said Gwendy. "She's going to shoot the porno with me" she giggled.

"...right." said Corbin slowly.
