Adeline placed herself across from Juliet, in a wooden chair. She couldn't remember the last time when she had actually sat down at a table for a meal. The moment she slid into her chair she was served an enormous platter of food. A huge heap of spaghetti was resting on a large silver platter in front of her. The noodles were thick, and covered in red sauce with chunky meatballs on top.
Adeline's mouth watered the moment she saw this beauty. Across from her Juliet glared down at her food. Juliet wasn't hungry and she scrunched her nose; she wasn't in the mood for anything at all. Danielle sat beside Juliet and on the other side of her was Gwendy. Cynthia, Adeline, and Crimson were on the other side of the table; Tyla was at the head.
There was bread on the table as well. Danielle brought the fresh, warm bread to her nose, inhaling deeply. It smelled rich, promising a delightful taste. Picking up a knife, she applied copious amounts of thick, creamy yellow butter. She spooned out a dollop of sweet, tangy blackberry jelly. She ripped off a chunk, stuffing the piece into her mouth. It was soft and warm. The pleasant smoothness of the butter blended perfectly with the bitter-sweet taste of black berries.
"Crimson this food is amazing." said Gwendy. "Thanks," responded Crimson back. He was sitting across from Gwendy and beside Adeline who had her face covered in sauce. "Try some of this bread I found in big red's coverts." He held a wooden platter towards her. There was a piece of warm bread with a slab of melting yellow butter.
Gwendy blushed and took the bread gracefully off of the platter. Cynthia watched as the two of them exchanged playful glances. She didn't like that Crimson called her big red...Little did they know that the bread was actually expired, and would probably taste like shit if they didn't bathe it in butter.
"This bread tastes like shit man." said Juliet. She through a chuck of bread down onto the table. "The first thing I go to eat, and it tastes like shit."
"Maybe you have shitty taste buds," said Adeline with a mouth full of food. "If I was the bread I wouldn't like you either." Juliet's nostrils flared up and anger was present in her royal blue eyes. Adeline's silver eyes were more fierce, and she couldn't help but snicker at the stupid expression Juliet had on her face.
Cynthia gave Adeline a look and then looked over at Juliet. Juliet usually wasn't this moody, and Juliet's table manners were usually much worse then what they were at the moment. Cynthia needed Juliet to realize that she didn't just do what was best for herself, but what was best for the team. They needed Adeline, but Juliet couldn't get that fact through her thick skull.
"So," started Tyla. She needed to start a conversation before anything could get out of hand. She finished chewing a piece of bread and swallowed. "Do you girls want to learn how to activate your jewels to do certain things?"
"Yes," answered Cynthia. She placed her cup down. "That would be great."
"Okay," said Tyla. "Well first off, if there's extreme danger nearby your jewel will glow or flash. You can also keep in contact with one another through it, but only Cynthia can do that. Her and I can have dreams and see where all of the hosts are based on where their jewel is. The reason why only the two of us can see where the hosts are is because the Radiant Ranger's blood flows within both of us."
"So the jewels aren't just for looks and pain?" interrupted Adeline. "That's great." she rolled her eyes.
"No," said Tyla. She let out a long sigh, she didn't want to get worked up while eating spaghetti. "If you want to do something with your jewel, you have to focus on it."
"Like meditation," Gwendy said happily.
"Yes, correct." Tyla responded. "When Gwendy and I entered the rainbow void earlier, she had to focus on her jewel and where her place rested in the universe."
