The girl stared back at Kristin, waiting for her reply.
“Kristin right?”
Kristin nodded moving away, the girl helped her to pick her fallen books.
“Am Jessica, and that guy is Jess, sorry about that”
“Its, nothing” Kristin smiled “I should just leave”
Jessica smiled “Are you coming for lunch?" Jessica asked with hope,
“Nope” Kristin shook her head, looking at Jessica, she was beautiful her black hair styled and fitted in her jean and white blouse, she envied her.
“Okay then, nice to meet you” Jessica said leaving. Kristin breathed in, in relief and carried on to her quiet place.
The next day in the hallway. Kristin was surrounded with some girls who calls themselves the Popular Chick, chick of all things.
“So you are new” One said.
Kristin looked down, there were five of them “How can I help you?” Kristin asked gently and carefully, they looked like people that can make her stay hell.
“you are so dirty that you make the whole school smell” another said while the others laughed.
Students were hanging around looking at them, must they make fun of new students?, why can't they be on their own, yes they have the money and so what? Only God knows why her father is sending her to rich kids school, maybe its because of the scholarship.
“I… will just leave” Kristin made effort but they drew her back.
“You don’t walk out on us “The leader said
“she knows nothing Linda” another said
Linda smirked at her and struggled
“Kristin?” someone called and they turned to see Jessica and her group of male friends, Jessica walked to them and drew Kristin to her side “you stay away from my friend"
Linda and her friends laughed “you’re friend's with this? " a girl asked looking at Jess, who was feeling so bored.
“I don’t know about that” Linda said
“Jessi let’s go “Jess said walking away
“Jess, you just don’t walk away from us"Jessica said angrily.
“Jessica…” Kristin said.
“No” Jessi snapped cutting Kristin short
“I don’t care about her " Jess said,
Kristin flinched back as he glared at her, the students around laughed.
“Jess” Jessica pleaded.
“What? She does not fit in anywhere, she is ugly, fat, a nerd, she don’t fit in any group or lives, so you stay away from her” Jess said.
Kristin held back tears, she had heard enough, she push passed the students and ran away.
"Kristin" Jessica called both her friends held her back from following Kristin.
She turned to Jess and shrugged free. “you know what?”
He raised an eyebrow at her
“I fucking hate you” she spat at him leaving ouch! That hurt but he masked his expression to a blank one.
