Kristin collided into someone in her haste in running away, the person held her from falling, she jerked away from him looking up at him.

" easy now, you don't want to hurt yourself " he said smiling down at her.

She knew him but not his name, she stood upright and stared at him

" hi, am Josh  " he introduced himself to her " are you okay? " he asked when Kristin was not ready to answer any of his questions.

Kristin nodded

"But why is Williams after you? "

She turned back to see Jess looking at them with his poker expression, he ran his fingers through his neat styled hair, turned and walked away, Kristin wondered why he was after her, she faced Josh.

" it's nothing " she replied in a calm tune, Kristin said stepping aside to walk away.

" wait Kristin " Josh called after her

She gave him a back-off look and he backed away from her smiling, Kristin ran away.

At the Williams home, Jessica was in the sitting room watching TV when Mr Williams came in
" hello kiddo"

" hi dad " she gave him a hug as he joined her.

" how are you doing? "

She shrugged " better than yesterday "

" witty"

" dad! " she glared at him " you work too much "

" for you baby" he kissed her forehead

" then get me my own car "

" we are not talking about that now" he stood up and left.

Jessica rolled her eyes " like always "

" I heard that young lady " her father shouted

" whatever old man" Jessica yelled back.

Jess and his friends were walking back home after their hang out, they decided to walk home. They parted ways leaving Jess alone on his own destination, he turned at a corner and stopped when he heard someone crying.
Surprised he saw a shadow of a girl head bent, she was sitting on the bench crying, her shoulder shook violently, he wondered what could have happened and what he could do.
He went to sit beside her and she tensed immediately knowing someone was beside her, watching her cry. " am not a bad guy" he quickly reassured her before she could flee.

" it's okay to cry, to  let  the pain out, not a care about this cruel world we live in " he said gently, not  to scare her away.

Her cries went down a bit " who are you? " she managed to ask, head still down avoiding looking at him.

" maybe a friend, if you don't mind? " he replied " how do you feel now? "

" better "

" good, I won't ask you to raise your head I understand, crying for so long won't make you look good "

" hum"

" we should leave, it's late"

" thanks, I'll leave soon"

" okay, take care " Jess walked away but stopped " hey friend can I have your number? " he knew he was trending in tin line

" really? " he could hear the smile in her words and he breathed out in relief.
