Prologue 12 ~Punishment Escape~

~Twisted Wonderland~

"Man, today is one heck of a day..." Ace mumbled all by himself as he walked down the hallway that leads to the Hall of Mirrors.

"But damn. It's one thing getting busted by the headmaster along with those lame duo, but now, they expect ME to clean one hundred windows?" Ace grumbled irritatingly at the thought before letting out a heavy sigh, "Might as well head back to my dorm and rest..."

And just as he took the first, two steps after he said that, a familiar high-pitch voice caught his attention.

"HEYYYYY!!!!!" Grim yelled at the end of the hallway as he ran up to him with Himemiya behind him.

"Crap! They found me!" Ace cursed when his eyes caught sight of the mentioned duo he spoke off.

"Stop right there!! I'm not letting you be the only one getting out of this!!" Grim called out to him.

"Sorry~! But I really don't have the time to stop! So, see ya!" Ace gave them a sly smile before he started running down the hallway.

"H-He's running away!" Himemiya exclaimed in surprise.

"Running off by yourself isn't fair! I wanna skip too!" Grim complained as they chased after the young man.

Just when Ace was about to reach the Hall of Mirror, a lone student in the area turned around to look at the source of all the noise and yelling.

When Ace faced the front, he quickly yelled out to the student, "Out of the way! Out of the way!"

"H-Huh!?" Panicked, the student remained on his spot when he saw not only the dark, orange-haired student mad-dashing towards him but also two others that were chasing behind him.

"You, over there! Please stop that student!" Himemiya called out to him.

"S-Stop him!? Using magic!?" the male student looked at the young man that was rushing towards him and he slowly analyzed the whole situation, "I could freeze him in place... No, maybe tie him with a rope? Or maybe... Maybe..."

As the student hesitated and dragged on with his actions, Grim yelled at him, "ANYTHING WORKS! Just sock him in! NOW!!"

"A-Anything!? U-Uhh!?" the student was caught by surprise from the order and began to panic. And just as he contemplated at the very last moment, he finally cast his magic.

"Come out! Something heavy!!" the student cast his magic and much to everyone's surprise, a giant cauldron came out in the air and fell right on top of the dark, orange-haired young man.

CLANG!

"GWAHH! What the hell is this...!? A giant pot...!?" Ace groaned in pain. At the same time, Grim and Himemiya finally caught up to him.

"Bwahahahaha! Look at that, Himemiya! Ace got squashed by a giant pot! He's so LAME!" Grim mimicked the same way Ace has called him out from the morning earlier and laughed at his heart's content.

"Looks kind of painful though..." Himemiya commented and looked over at the same student that helped them caught Ace.

"I didn't think I'd summon a cauldron out of all the things. Was that a bit too much...?" the student from earlier commented as he watched Ace slowly got out from under the cauldron.

"Um, thank you for helping us out," Himemiya thanked the student and bowed slightly, "You saved us the trouble."

"Huh? O-Oh, I see..." he dragged his words on as he stared at the young woman, confusingly. Just when he was about to say something, Ace cut him off first.
