The Kims

Meetings were always boring without any type of alcoholic drink, and those were the meetings at the Kims house. Sure they were millionaires and didn't even bother to put a fucking whiskey in the table.

Irene was forced to go to these meetings because of her family. The Baes and The Kims were close and since Joohyun was the only active boss she had to go.

And to be honest Irene hated the Kims they were greedy, arrogant and only cared about their appearance which made them very dislikeable, especially Jennie, the boss.

Jennie was just a kid, or a teenager in this case. Irene had gone very presentable and formal as everyone else but Jennie Kim wore the shortest dress ever with some sneakers and dark glasses... indoors. The only thing she did during the whole meeting was taking selfies. Who let this kid be the boss if she can't take anything seriously?

"So we're here reunited with my favorite... Bae Joohyun I love you." Jennie stood from the chair just to say that and the other bosses around the table stared at Irene giving awkward applauses.

Irene could not take it anymore so she just hid her face in her hands. Rosé who was Jennie's advisor whispered something in her ear and she sat down again.

"Anyway, we're here to discuss... Well not discuss but to announce we will be having a party in Bae's mansion." Jennie excitedly said, earning a deadly look by the older.

"You didn't tell me Jennie. It would've been nice if you had done so." Joohyun said.

"But my daddy told me i could just say it and you wouldn't say no" Jennie pouted.

"I'm different from my father. If you still think I'll say yes to anything you ask me then you're very wrong."

Jennie started crying just like that and left the table, Irene could just sigh, okay this spoiled kid thinks she can get whatever she wants with just crying and throwing a fit. She just started eating because her stomach was asking for it.

After the brunch, Jennie called her in private to talk. As two reasonable human beings. Irene felt a bit guilty for using such a strong voice towards Jennie maybe she went too far and she wasn't dumb, she wanted to keep this friendship and if that meant holding the party at her house she'd do it but next time Jennie has to ask her first instead of taking the decision by herself.

Everything was cleared up and Irene could go home.

It was always stressful at The Kims she just wanted to drop in her bed and sleep for the whole day. Currently being almost 12PM she called Wendy to ask how everyone was except for Seulgi.

Irene's had Seulgi in her mind ever since she woke up, she didn't have time to check on her but she knew Wendy probably made her eat breakfast. When the car stopped in a red sign Irene saw a jewelry shop and a cute black choker with a bear pendant caught her attention.

It would look good on Seulgi's neck.

She told the chauffeur to wait a bit that she'd be back in a few minutes. Said and done she entered the shop and bought it, she wore a smile on her face all the way to her house because she was sure her Seulgi will like it.

As soon as she stepped in her house she went straight to the room where Seulgi was, rapidly greeting Wendy that was watching tv in the living room.

Irene wasn't expecting what she saw, her little baby was still kneeled on the ground with very swollen eyes and a huge stain in her pants.

"What's wrong baby?" Irene left the bag with the choker in the bed and hurried to Seulgi.

"I... needed to go to the bathroom." Seulgi lifelessly said, since her throat was sore from all the crying.

Irene didn't now what to or more specifically how to do it, if she uncuffed her she'd run away.

"I promise I won't run away I just need to change clothes." Seulgi spoke once again.

The older's heart clenched when Seulgi spoke in this tone, it sounded so worn out and sad she didn't want her baby to be like this so she grabbed the keys to the cuffs that were in her pocket and with a 'click' Seulgi's arms were freed.

Irene was fast to catch her since her legs and arms were numb so Seulgi just let herself fall into the older's embrace. "My baby is heavy isn't she?"

Joohyun tried her best to carry her to the bathroom, Seulgi was taller than her so obviously she couldn't handle so much heavy bones with her petite body. Somehow she managed to stand both of them.

"Can you walk? It's just a few steps I'll help you." Irene softly said since Seulgi was still leaned in her shoulder, she could hear a faint voice saying yes so both of them walked slowly.

In the bathroom Irene started to undress Seulgi so she can give her a bath. The younger was a bit uncomfortable because the memories of last night came flooding but she couldn't cry anymore she has run out of tears to cry.

She entered the bathtub with a little help while the water was pouring inside. Irene rolled up her sleeves and removed her jewelry, the younger looked at her and felt bad for having such a nice outfit being ruined by water.

"I'm sorry, you were so nicely dressed." Seulgi quietly said and Irene laughed.

"It's okay, the tedious meeting is over so I won't use it for the day anymore." She thought Seulgi was so cute for paying attention to such details.
