Wendy would be lying if she said she wasn't about to die when she had to be driven to Junmyeon's hospital. She felt as if all her strength was pulled out, one of Joohyun's family members were there with her.

"You can get some rest when we arrive." Wendy blinked a few times and looked at him with a smile.

"No, no it's totally fine. I need to get news from Junmyeon." Minseok looked at her with a very sad smile, he knew how she felt.

He still chose to rub her back giving her comfort, she broke down in tears once again.

It was a very hard morning.

When they arrived the three bodies were immediately sent to surgery rooms. Wendy together with Minseok, Jongin and Jongdae stayed in the waiting room.

Hours and hours passed and no news, nothing. Wendy was sitting there totally nervous and uneasy. The three Kim brothers were trying her best to make her at least forget about it for a minute or else she'll die of stress.

Finally at 3pm Junmyeon went to them with terrible news.

"Joy is totally fine she suffered from minor injuries due to the gunshot but with a bit of rest and time she'll be back in her tracks." Junmyeon smiled but he knew the worst was about to come. "Irene and Yeri... They... couldn't make it. I'm sorry."

Wendy couldn't cry anymore, she just sat down in the sofa with her hands holding her face and quietly blamed herself for everything that happened and apologized to Joohyun.

The Kim Brothers we're talking with her about the situation that they'll go through. Firstly they'll have to get the mansion cleaned, later they can hold the funeral for both Yeri and Irene, then Irene's successor will take her place. Wendy didn't understand why they were talking about it right now.

"Guys I really appreciate your help but you can't arrange the mansion alone, I can give you money for the reparations and-"

"Wendy. It's time for you to rest. Leave it all to us." Jongin said.

Wendy nodded and let the Kims go outside to whatever they were discussing, she didn't care who was she to give a fuck? She just wanted to sleep so that when she wakes up everything will be back to normal.

Seulgi was now sitting by the window, the sky looked so grey she believed it was going to rain later.

Her train of thoughts decided to bring her back to when she was with Irene, she knew something bad happened but when she got Wendy's call she felt sick in her stomach.

Irene not walking on this earth anymore? Yeah right she's not that weak. She's Bae Joohyun.

Seulgi spoke in a very monotone voice and hung up on Wendy, she didn't have anything to do with Irene and her family anymore. She's free! She's back in her apartment, looking for a job and all of what happened before was just a dream.

She'll get a boyfriend, a stable job, she'll get married and have kids and die peacefully.

Seulgi put her phone down and took a deep breath.

This is a new start. A new chapter.

Days passed, for Wendy it felt like years.

The Kim Brothers including Junmyeon helped with the mansion and they financed the funeral and both girls grave that were placed right next to Irene's dad.

Wendy noticed that Irene's mother never showed up. Her whole family was there, even her grandma...

Life goes on they say, but for Wendy the world stopped moving the day she escaped the mansion. Joy made a few changes in the household, since she was the successor since Wendy refused to be so.

Nothing was ever the same, the house was empty, some rooms were removed or made into storage rooms, Irene's office was now closed.

The afternoons weren't even enjoyable, only Wendy and Joy shared this huge mansion and even so, both felt so empty.

Of course Sooyoung continued Irene's legacy but it didn't feel right. Wendy truly couldn't continue working, she can't lie to herself.
She was forcing a smile and willing to work with Sooyoung.

"Don't get me wrong, I love you with all my heart... I just want a break." Wendy said standing in front of Joy's desk.

"I understand Wen, please take care of yourself and come back when you're comfortable." Joy smiled. It was in her nature, she wasn't as scary as Joohyun but she truly had a dark side.

Wendy found herself buying a cheap apartment in the center of the city. It was calmer than she thought considering Seoul is a very busy city, she got a part time job in a coffee shop nearby, it was so weird.

She's trying to incorporate to society being "Son Seungwan" instead of Wendy, she even dyed her hair back to dark brown.

She believes this is the best for her, being away for a few months will make her head clear up so many things.
