I was sitting in the dressing room along with all the staff from the show talking about Ash's performance. We, of course, all agreed that it was amazing. She was still showering before we went back to the hotel room and I was practically falling asleep sitting up on the couch. After a few minutes of joking and laughing with everyone Ash walked in with a towel, still drying her wet hair.
"Ash! Come on we're gonna take shots," Anthony called.
"Um alright," she shrugged.
We all got together as Brad and Anthony poured the cheap vodka they bought into plastic cups for everyone. They passed them around so that everyone in the room had one.
"To the first show on this amazing tour and many more to come. To you guys for being here and to the best job in the world. To the badlands!," Ash cheered.
"To the badlands," everyone else mimicked.
I downed the cup of liquor along with everyone else and winced at the stinging feeling running down my throat. I puckered my lips and shook my head before setting the cup down. Everybody in the room ran over to congratulate Ash on her performance while I stood back and admired it all. Words couldn't even express how happy and proud I was.
"Hey, we were gonna go out tonight do you wanna come," Anthony asked.
"Nah, I'm kinda tired. I think we're gonna go back to the hotel. Is that okay with you sunflower," Ash asked turning to me.
"Yeah that's fine. You guys have fun," I said.
"Okay but tomorrow you have to come," he said.
"For sure!," Ash called out.
She slung her hand around my shoulders and steered us out of the room while I waved bye to everyone. As soon as we were out of the room Ash pressed me up against the wall and attached her lips to mine. She intertwined our hands by my sides as our mouths moved in synch. When she pulled back she playfully nibbles on my lip with the biggest grin.
"Not that I'm complaining but what was that for," I asked.
"I'm not aloud to kiss you," she teased.
"Like that? No, not without a reason," I laughed.
"It's just been a good day," she said.
"It has," I confirmed.
She took my hand and we walked across the street to our hotel room. When we went to get the key from the front desk the lady told us that we had the honeymoon suite. I turned towards Ash and furrowed my brows at her in question but she just gave me a smile and dragged me up towards the room.
The suite was gorgeous. It had a huge bathtub with pillars surrounding it like a Greek structure. The whole room was decorated in golds and whites and there was a large window overlooking the city. The bed could probably fit 5 people in it alone.
"What do you think," Ash asked.
"Baby it's gorgeous but I would've been just as happy with a motel or something," I said.
"it's the first night of tour and I wanted to do something special," she said twiddling with her fingers.
"Well you know what I want," I asked.
I took a step closer to her and intertwined our hands as she looked down at them. I could tell that she though she did too much but I could see the intention and I appreciated it.
"Hmm what's that?," she hummed.
"A bath," I said with a cheesy grin.
"Oh okay have fun," she said with a small pout.
"Ash! I want a bath with you! Are you coming?," I asked.
"Hell yeah!," she cheered her whole demeanor changing.
"I'll go run it give me a sec," I said.
I ran the hot water for Ash and I and poured in some of the bubbles that the hotel provided. Once I stirred the soap in and made sure the temperature was right I called Ash in. She was already stripped down and when she came in she put her hands on her hips and struck a pose for me. I held back a laugh as she plopped down into the warm water and started to undress myself. Once I stripped down Ash held out her arms and I sat down and pressed my back to her chest and sat in between her legs. She wrapped her arms around my shoulders and I played with her fingers. I felt a few light kisses on my skin as Ash pressed her lips to my shoulder. I hummed a sigh of pleasure as Ash continued onto my neck.
"You're so beautiful Thena. Inside and out," she said running her arms down mine.
"You are too baby. You're gorgeous," I said.
"I love you," she said.
"And I love you," I said.
I tilted my head back and pressed my lips to Ash's. I turned my body so that I was straddling her lap with my legs on either side of hers. I pressed my lips to hers again quickly and she pouted when I pulled away. Instead of reconnecting our mouths again I traced the ink in her skin with my fingers. I admired all the drawings that covered her body, all of the black ink.
"When did you get this one," I asked.
"Which one," she questioned.
I stopped and pointed to the one on her ribs that said "serendipity". It was scribbled in some sort of cursive writing but I hadn't ever seen it before.
"Oh when you said that us being together was serendipity. It really stuck with me and I realized everything about my life is just that," she said.
"You really think so," I asked.
"Yeah just think about it. There are thousands maybe millions of talented people in the world and they chose me. I just got really lucky. Don't get me wrong I work really hard for it but so do so many other people. I wanted it tattooed to remind me to stay grounded," she explained.
"That's amazing. I'm really proud of you. I don't know if I've told you that but I should," I said.
"Thank you," she said.
"You don't need to thank me," I said.
"And why is that," she asked.
"Because being here with you, it's my pleasure. Every second of it," I said.
