plot : after a long tiring day, hyunsuk came home to his and y/n's shared house, to see her and he felt a different feeling.

hyunsuk wore a frown while walking home already late at night. he sighed while flashbacking at the stressful and exhausting day.
"choi hyunsuk, just a few more steps and you're home," he said to himself quietly.
it was one of those days when he just wanted to go home, cry, and eat up his emotions. he typed in his home's code on the keypad and entered the house.
he slumped in the couch and cupped his face, and began to close his eyes. "why did you bother to go home if it's this late- are you okay?" hyunsuk heard y/n's voice and chuckled.
y/n is the younger sister of his close friend and the three of them live in the same house.
y/n studies in seoul while her brother has a good paying job. although, he is currently on a business trip in japan for a month, leaving hyunsuk and y/n in the house alone.
y/n and hyunsuk's relationship is quite weird, they sometimes hate each other but secretly care about one another. like siblings, but not really.
hyunsuk removed his hands and opened his eyes before turning around at y/n. he examined her, she was casually wearing track pants and a white tea and wore a ponytail.
"simple but pretty," he thought. he smiled with the sight of her, forgetting all about the stress he felt just a minute ago.
"why are you looking at me like that? you're scaring me. whatever i'm going to bed," y/n was about to climb the stairs when hyunsuk said something that shook them both.
"stay,"
"what?" she asked dumbfounded while turning around to hyunsuk, whose cheeks were flushed. "j-just stay,"
"why should i stay?" she asked him, intrigued. "i just want to say thank you. thank you for energizing me," he said calmly, but in the inside he was shaking and his cheeks were burning.
y/n was confused, "how did i energize you? i ain't a battery or something" hyunsuk grinned at her words. "your very presence, energized me,"
"i was tired, exhausted, and stressed when i came home, but then i saw you, i felt like- like i was on cloud nine," he said with sincerity, and stared deeply at her eyes.
they stared at each others eyes and everything went quiet, the both of them didn't talk for 3 minutes before hyunsuk suddenly smiled and spoke.
"i think i know what it is. i think i like you, a lot,"
