why || yoshinori

plot ; it's 2 am and yoshi was still wide awake looking up to the stars with her inside his head.

"If I silently forget you and wait
Will we be able to meet again
Like destiny?"

yoshinori hummed a tune with a small smile as he sipped his mug of hot chocolate. caffeine was definetely taking a toll in his body so he decided to drink hot chocolate for a better change.

he placed the mug down and adjusted the sky blue colored mat that was laying on the freshly cut grass. he laid down his back slowly on the mat and his eyes met the sparkling stars above. "so pretty," he whispered, his smile getting wider.

he reached for his phone on the side and opened his camera to capture the night sky. he then posted it in his instagram story with the caption, "just me and the stars".

a little bored, he started clicking some of his friend's instagram stories. his phone almost fell from his hands when he accidentally viewed his ex's, y/n, story. he immediately backed out, almost destroying the home button.

he turned off the screen and took a deep breathe. he loosen up his now suddenly heavy shoulders and tried to find peace again in the stars.

but he failed when his thoughts clouded with what her instagram story was. he began thinking, was it her dog riku? a date perhaps? her new boyfriend? 

"i mean i did already clicked on her story," he found an excuse and cleared his throat  as he reached again for his phone and opened instagram. 

he swiped the stories he viewed and quickly clicked on her's again. "oh," was all yoshi said when he saw a similar picture of the night sky that was posted 5 minutes ago. she captioned the photo with "can't fall asleep :(".

he rolled his eyes, "she really wants me to write a 4-page essay about sleeping late causes health related problems doesn't she?" he nagged.

he quickly shook his head and slapped his cheeks, "no yoshinori you don't care!" he said to himself sternly.

the calming sounds of nature calmed yoshinori as he continue to stare up to the sky. his eyes fixated to one star that was shining brightly.

he bitterly smiled, "you remind me of her eyes," he said to the stars. "the way her eyes sparkle and dazzle everytime we were together. i wish i could see it again," 

his eyes started to water but he continue to smile, "you know, we were happy. keyword, were. everything was all glitters and sparkles. but i guess every story has an ending. we were just unlucky," he sighed as his eyes started to feel heavy.

"yoshi~~" y/n cutely called with her honey-like voice which made yoshinori's lips crease up to a smile, his cheeks also starting to burn up a little. the boys immediately started teasing him, "oooh yoshi's girlfriend is here~~" jihoon childishly grinned.

"i-i'll be back," he stuttered before running to the door where y/n was standing patiently waiting for him. he lightly grabbed her hand, "let's go somewhere quieter," he whispered to her and closed the door behind him.

he took her up to the school's rooftop and they were the only people there. he leaned back to the railings, "i'm sorry about them," he said, breaking the comfortable silence.

he heard her chuckle, "no, it's fine. it's kinda adorable to be honest," she turned her head to him with a bright face. 

yoshi's face brightened as well, her radiant personality was contagious. "um and i'm sorry that i bailed out on our date next saturday. if i knew events would pile up, i would've told you sooner," his voice trailed off and he scratched his neck awkwardly. 

she laughed at his cuteness, "why apologize? it's perfectly okay! just you, me, the fluffy clouds, and the bright sun here in this rooftop is enough," she genuinely smiled.

 yoshi opened his eyes, not realizing he just drifted to sleep. he massaged his eyes, "why did i dream of her?" he muttered.

he sat up straight with a gloomy face. a chuckle left his lips, "if me, you, the clouds and the sun were enough, why leave?" he snickered.

silence filled the surroundings and memories started flashing in yoshi's mind, making him emotional.

tears started forming in his eyes that he can't avoid any longer, "why leave when i was at my worst?" he hugged his knees and lower his head down, soft sobs heard from the outside along with the rustling leaves.

"why can't i go on without you? why do i have to wake up everyday knowing you aren't by my side? why do i suffer because you left?" he continued, tears rolling swiftly on his red cheeks.

he sniffed and he slowly raised his chin up and faced the stars once again with a small, sad smile. 

"my wish for today is, forget you and us,"

+ since treasure's debut is around the corner, i've been thinking if i'll make a mini-series of imagines inspired by the songs in their album? (like this imagine was inspired by wayo) just a thought lol
