"Pa, what's this?!" hawak ko ang sulat ni Xander at inangat para ipakita sa kanya.

I drove back immediately to our house while I'm crying, I want to ask my father about this. The letter was written years ago pero hindi ko ito nabasa.

Nagtaka siyang nakatingin sa sulat na kahit siya ay hindi niya alam ang nakasulat dito.

"Totoo ba Pa? That Xander break up with me because...." Tumulo ang luha ko nang maalala ko ang nakasulat. Hindi ko magawang ituloy ang sasabihin ko.

"Rack.." lumambot ang tingin niya at lumapit sa akin. Tinignan ko lang siya na may namumuong luha sa aking mata.

"Pa, tell me.." I plead to him.

"Anak," hinawakan niya ako sa balikat. "We had a deal nung naaksidente ka."

I gasped when my father confirms it.

"It was true?" I whispered. "Pa how could you?!" I step back from him at nagtatanong ang aking mga mata.

"It was my selfish decision back then.. ikaw na lang ang meron ako Miracle.. pinakiusapan ko siya na iwan ka, in that way your safe." he calmly said.

Umiling ako at hindi makapaniwala sa sinabi ng sarili kong ama.

"Pa did you even consider that the accident is not Xander's fault? All this time... I always asked myself b-bakit niya ako iniwan?" I stuttered then I cried.

Those months passed after we broke apart. I had running questions in my mind. I always asked why people that are important to me always leave me. One of the reasons that I didn't enter relationships after Xander is because I'm afraid to trust again.

"Xander was there.. Miracle, when you had accident he always visits you, on your graduation, siya rin ang nagbigay ng bulaklak noon." I glance to him when he started to talked again. "He even messaged me when you passed the board, he's there on your oath taking..." tinakpan ko ang bibig ko at pinigilang umiyak.

"He's not beside you but he's always there."

Suminghap ako sa narinig at hindi na kinaya ang pagtakip sa bibig ko at umiyak na ng tuluyan. I squat down and Papa hugged me from that position.

Nagising ako at bumangon agad ng makitang nasa kwarto ako sa bahay namin. Dumiretso sa banyo at inayos ang sarili. Namamaga ang mata pagkatapos umiyak kanina marahil nakatulog sa sobrang pag-iyak.

"I feel the deep burden in my heart gets light." Pinakiramdaman ko ang puso ko.

It keeps light dahil nasagot na ang matagal na tanong sa puso ko.

"Kailan ka bibili ng regalo?" Sara asked.
