Chapter 40

"Come on Xander, Bakit hindi ako marunong magluto!?" I  put the spoon down  ng matikman ko ang lasa ng sinigang.

I'm not really a competitive person but I was really eager to learn something like this. It's like there's something that pushes me.

I heard a chuckled from my side, nilingon ko siya ng masama. We're here at my condo at nagpresinta ako na wag niya akong turuan dahil naluto ko na ito dati.

"Masarap naman ah," sabi niya pagkahigop niya ng sabaw.

"Bias mo! You only said that to make me feel better."

Tumawa na naman siya at bumaba sa mula sa pagkakaupo sa kitchen countertop. He rest his hands to my shoulders and massage it.

"It's okay baby, I got you on that." he grinned. "I can do the cooking for us."

I pouted my lips, I don't like quitting to cooking but cooking makes me quit. I rest my head to his shoulder at niyakap naman niya ako.

"Maybe you can do baking, you should try that." bulong niya.

Umatras ako at inangat ko ang tingin ko sa kanya. "Talaga?" nakangiti ako at tumango lang siya. "Okay let's go to the supermarket!"

Ngumiti na naman siya sa naging reaction ko. "You are really persistent one." He commented.

"Doon mo nga ako nagustuhan, diba?" I teased.

Naalala ko bigla ang letter dahil isa yun sa mga binanggit niya. "Your letter.."

He parted his lips and furrowed his forehead. "Nabasa mo na?"

I slowly nodded.

"It was four years late bago ko mabasa."

"It was still a good thing." He smiled.

Nagtaka akong tumingin sa kanya. "Bakit naman?"

"Dahil kahit hindi mo nabasa noon 'yun, you're still here with me."

Napasinghap ako sa narinig niya. He's right about it. My feelings for him didn't change, kung meron mas malong lumala ito.

"You even cooked Adobo to me as my first wish! You're so bad!" hinampas ko siya sa dibdib. "Alam mo ba I hated that dish."

"I know you hated it." seryoso niyang asik.

Nagulat ako sa sinabi niya. I never told him that, wala akong maalala na sinabi ko sa kanya iyon.
