I sighed as I checked my phone to see how far into the nine-hour bus journey we were before throwing it back down on the sofa. I was beginning to think that deciding to take a flight from Philadelphia instead of from where we were in Detroit was a bad idea, it's just lucky we didn't get car sick, or bus sick.

"I wish you were staying longer." Harry mumbled into my hair as I pulled myself impossibly closer to his chest, wanting to savour the moment for as long as I could. "You could just...stay."

I chuckled lightly at the suggestion, lifting my head to look at him and to be met with a lopsided smile.

"We both know that's not practical." I rolled my eyes, allowing a hint of humour to seep into my tone, "I go back to work next week...and you've got to finish things up over here."

I felt his arms stiffen around my waist at my mention of returning to work, it still wasn't a subject we'd discussed since he'd made his feelings clear. He didn't want me to go back at all, never mind next week.

"I know...I just like having you both here, with me...where you guys belong."

I could hear the emotion in his voice as he held me tightly against him, almost as if he would let go and I'd disappear.

"Harold, it's official...your daughter is cooler than you."

We both turned our heads at the same time to watch Niall following Isabella into the room, a cap that was far too big for her on top of her head and a pair of sunglasses in one hand.

"Jesus please be careful with her...I don't want her to fall-" Harry quickly sat forward, pushing me slightly to the side as he leaned to grab a hold of Isabella's hands as she stumbled into the main living area. "You gotta grab her hands."

"She walked like, five steps - she's fine, kids better at walking than you." Niall laughed as he took a seat opposite us with his hands rested on his knees.

Harry picked Isabella up to sit her on her knee before she reached up and lifted the front of the cap up so she could see us both, her face breaking into a heart-warming smile as she saw both of us grinning back at us.

"Where's everyone else?"

"Still sleepin', although Isabella did wake Liam up when she was going through your bag...he just turned over and went back to sleep."

The conversation ended after that, with Niall switching the TV onto some American football game he wanted to watch and Harry talking away to Isabella as she giggled away at what he was saying, even though half the time I didn't even know what he was talking about.

We pulled into the car park for the hotel they were staying at about an hour and a half later, with Liam and Louis appearing exactly when the bus came to a stop and joining the rest of us on the sofas as other people piled in to outline the plan for the day.

I tuned out before long, with the knowledge that in a few hours I'd be getting in a car and leaving all this madness behind completely. Nonetheless, we stayed put while the tour managers ran through everything they needed to with the entire tour team stuffed into the bus.

The tour bus was big, but Jesus that was a lot of people stuffed into a space that definitely wasn't big enough for all of them. Meanwhile, Isabella happily stood on Harry's knee while he listened, her engrossed in showing the poor guy who ended up stood next to her the sunglasses and hat she'd acquired with Niall.

We were eventually let off the bus, slowly given key cards to the rooms everyone would be staying in for the next two nights before the big group we'd started with dwindled down to only a few people.
