I smiled to myself as I stared out of the window of the moving car, watching the trees as they raced past as Harry rested one hand on my thigh with the other on the steering wheel. It had been a last minute decision to head up to Holmes Chapel for the weekend; Harry had no studio time booked in and I didn't work on Friday's, and Harry was so desperate to see his family again that it just made sense.

The journey wasn't too long, just a little over three hours from London, which left just enough time for Isabella to have a long nap and be wide awake for when we got there. Part of me felt guilty that we didn't see his family very often, but the thought of juggling that on top of everything else was unimaginable, it just meant we had to make the most of the time we did spend with them.

The past few days had been a big adjustment. Between me working three days a week and Harry finishing up with recording the next album it almost felt like when I got home from work he'd be leaving to go to work, but knowing at the end of the night he'd be coming home to sleep in the same bed made it a hundred times easier.

"What are you thinking?" Harry asked, glancing over at me between watching the road. I turned away from the window and smiled lightly with a content smile.

"I'm just happy." I said truthfully, placing a hand over his as it rested on my leg. "I'm happy we get to do this again."

"I am too...Mum can't wait to see you both." I raised my eyebrow as he glanced back at me, a smirk appearing on his face before he finished his sentence. "And me, she's excited to see me too."

"It's been a while, the last time we saw her was...Isabella's birthday, right?" He hummed in response with a nod. "God, that seems so long ago."

It really did. The birthday party was a little over a month ago and it felt like so much had happened in that short amount of time, it felt like a lifetime ago. "We should visit more often, once your schedule frees up a little."

He nodded in agreement, squeezing my leg with his hand slightly to give me a wordless response.

I'd always loved car journeys, the comfort of letting the world zip past you whilst you're in your own little space, almost like a bubble. I spent the majority of the journey staring out of the window, the silence between Harry and I being a welcome change from the chaos that was our lives these days.

Harry dropped the bags next to the front door with a thud while I carried Isabella inside as she woke up from being asleep with a scowl across her face, this kid does not like being woken up. Anne appeared seconds later after hearing the noise we'd already made despite being in the house less than a minute. She approached quickly, holding her arms out to let me pass Isabella to her.

"She's grown so much in just a month! Oh my goodness, Grandma missed you so much!" She held Isabella close to her in a cuddle before Isabella grumbled slightly and resisted, still not completely woken up.

"She just woke up so she might be a bit grumpy."

Anne pulled me into a hug and asked how I was before I heard Harry clearing his throat from behind me and I chuckled, rolling my eyes as I stepped to the side to let him greet his Mum. The greeting was sweet; I know how much he missed his family, his Mum especially, and so I knew that any time he got to see her he cherished more than you could imagine.

"I'm so happy you decided to visit! I was wondering when we'd get a home visit." Anne teased, nudging Harry with a grin before we followed her into the kitchen and sitting at the breakfast bar. "It's been a while."

Harry sighed but nodded, "I know, it's just been so busy...with tour and the new album and-"

"Too busy for your own Mum these days." Anne laughed; I loved their relationship. In fact, everyone in the family was fairly similar and any time I spent I spent around them I just felt so comforted. "Anyway, this album...do I get to hear it?"
