(The next morning)

"Evie I need to talk to you." Mal said as Evie came out of her house.

"Sure. What's up?" Evie replied.

Mal was about to tell her, then she saw Harry walking towards them. "Uh never mind it's nothing."

"Okay..." Evie said looking at her confused.

"Hey ladies." Harry greeted them.

"Hey." Evie smiled at him, but Mal didn't say anything. "M? You okay?"

"Huh? Oh y-yeah." Mal lied giving them a fake smile.

(Later at school)

"Evie! Can I talk to you?" Ben ran up to her.

"H-hey Ben. What's up?" Evie responded.

"I need you help with something." Ben told her.

"Sure. With what?" Evie questioned.

"I want to sing a song." Ben stated.

"Oh." Evie slightly smiled.

"For Mal." Ben finished.

"Aww." Evie said smiling more.

"But I'm not really good. I was hoping you could help finding a song to sing." Ben explained.

"Of course I will." Evie agreed.

"Great! Can you come over after school?" Ben wondered.

"I can try." Evie answered.

"Cool. I'll see you later." Ben smiled, then walked off.

(After school)

Ben was in his garage, then Evie walked in.

"Oh good you're here." Ben said looking up at her.

"Yep." Evie nodded. "So you wanted help finding a song to sing, right?"

"Yeah." Ben answered with a nod.

"Okay let's see." Evie said and starting to sit down. "Wait actually I forgot something. I need to run home. I'm really sorry Ben. I'll be back."

"Oh no that's okay." Ben told her.

"Okay I'll be back." Evie smiled at him one last time before leaving.

Mal was in her room making herself look good. Then she started to head out. As she was walking through the neighborhood she bumped into Evie.

"Mal? Where are you going?" Evie asked.

"I'm going to meet up with someone." Mal answered.

"With Ben?" Evie questioned.

"Yeah." Mal lied.

"Okay. I know that's a lie because Ben asked me to come over to work on music for our band. So where are you really going?" Evie explained and asked as she crossed her arms.

"Okay fine. I'm going to meet with Harry." Mal gave in.

"Mal! Are you cheating on Ben?" Evie asked slightly shouting.

"I don't know." Mal said and put her head in her hands.

Mal walked over to a bench and sat down. Evie walked over and sat beside her.

"What am I supposed to do?" Mal wondered with her head still in her hands.

"I think you should not go see Harry. Do you know how lucky you are? You're dating Ben! Any girl would die to be you?" Evie questioned.

Mal didn't say anything, but looked at Evie with a sad face.

"I get that you used to have a big crush on Harry, but it's not worth ruining your relationship with Ben. Maybe if you and Ben every break up, but right now be happy with Ben." Evie told her.

"You're right." Mal slightly smiled at her.

"I know." Evie smiled with a nod. "And I promise I won't say anything to Ben. I'll let you talk to him about it."

Then Evie got up and walked away. When she finally came back Ben was sitting strumming one of his guitars.

"Hey." Evie said getting his attention.

"Hey." He replied looking up at her. "You get what you needed to?"

"Yeah." Evie nodded slightly not looking too happy.

"Hey you okay?" Ben checked as he put his guitar down and walked over to her.

"Ben I... I'm okay." Evie said.

"You sure?" Ben doubled checked.

"Yeah. Just a little tired." Evie lied.

"Okay." Ben nodded and backed away. "So you got any ideas of a song I could sing?"

"I think I might have one." Evie answered with a grin.

Mal was walking through the neighborhood, then Harry ran up to her.

"Hey there you are. I was worried about you. You didn't show up." Harry was saying.

"Harry." Mal started to say. "I've had a lot of time to think and... I can't do this." Mal looked down.

"What are you talking about?" Harry questioned taking her hands.

"I can't do this to Ben." Mal stated.

"Do what to Ben?" Harry wondered.

"Cheat on him." Mal responded.

"What?! You're dating Ben?!" Harry asked practically yelling.

"Yes. Now keep your voice down." Mal said trying to calm him.

"And you didn't think to tell me?" Harry asked.

"I'm sorry." Mal said.

"Well what about us?" Harry wondered.

"Look Harry. I used to have the biggest crush on you. But now I think I have the biggest crush on Ben. And I don't want anything to ruin that." Mal explained. "I'm sorry."

Mal looked at him one last time. Then walked inside her house. She walked up to her room and closed the door as tears rolled down her face.

"I like this song." Ben told Evie.

"I knew you would. And I think Mal will too. So when are you planning on singing to her?" Evie asked.

"Well I was hoping you, me, and Lonnie could all practice. Then when we're good you can tell her to meet you in the center of town where I'll sing to her." Ben answered.

"That's a good idea." Evie agreed.

"Cool. I'll text Lonnie then." Ben smiled and pulled out his phone.

(The next day)

"Hey how'd it go last night?" Evie asked.

"Fine I guess. I stopped it." Mal replied.

"I'm proud of you. So anyways after school meet me in the center of town." Evie explained.

"Why?" Mal questioned.

"I want us to hang out like we used to." Evie responded.

"Okay..." Mal smiled while still looking confused.

"Harry, you good?" Uma checked.

"Why do you care?" Harry asked harshly.

"Because we're friends." Uma said.

"It's Mal." Harry pointed forward at her and Evie laughing.

Uma rolled her eyes. "You need to forget about her. She's not worth it. You need to find someone better for you." She hinted and nudged him a little.

Harry just looked at her with a slight smile. Uma smiled back.

"Come on." Uma wrapped her arm around him and they continued walking to the bus.
