(A few weeks later)

Mal stepped off the bus and waited for Evie to get off.

"So any plans for after school?" Evie asked Mal as she got off the bus.

"No, I don't think so." Mal replied.

"Cool. So you want to do something tonight?" Evie questioned.

"Like what?" Mal asked.

"I don't know." Evie shrugged. "I just think we should have like a girl's night."

"Girl's night?" Mal checked.

"Yeah... Why do you sound so confused?" Evie asked.

"Sorry." Mal shook her head. "Yeah sure we can have a girl's night tonight."

"Great!" Evie smiled brightly.

(Later)

Evie was walking down the hall looking down at her notebook. Then she bumped into someone. 

"Oh sorry." Evie apologized, then looked up and saw Ben.

"No worries Evie. It was my fault." Ben told her.

"So is there band practice today?" Evie wondered.

"No, but maybe tomorrow. It depends." Ben answered.

"Okay. Well I gotta get going. I'll see you around." Evie said.

"Okay. Bye." Ben smiled, then walked away.

(At lunch)

Evie walked out of the lunch room and looked around the cafeteria. Then she saw Carlos and Jay. She rushed over to them and sat next to Carlos.

"Hey Evie." Carlos greeted her.

"Hey." Jay said.

"Hey guys." Evie slightly smiled.

"Oh! The line is getting shorter. I'm gonna go get my food." Jay said, then ran off.

"Carlos there's something I need to talk to you about. It's about someone I like." Evie started to say.

"Oh Evie I'm flattered, but I like someone else." Carlos interrupted her.

What? No it's not about you." Evie told him.

"Oh. Then who is it?" Carlos asked.

"It's Ben." Evie stated.

"What? I thought you were over him though?" Carlos questioned.

"I thought I was too, but the more time I spend with him in the band. The more I start liking him again." Evie was explaining..

"Well what are you gonna do?" Carlos asked.

"I don't know. Maybe I'll..." Evie was going to say.

"Hey guys." Mal greeted them and sat across from them.

"Hey Mal." Carlos replied.

"What were you two talking about?" Mal wondered.

"Nothing. It's not important." Evie answered quickly.

"Okay..." Mal said confused.

(Chemistry class)

"Hey Evie. Can I sit?" Ben asked.

"Y-yeah." Evie hesitated.

"Cool." Ben put his bag down and sat next to her.
