Two Sides One School

The First Weekend

(Friday)

"Come to Ben's party." Audrey was telling people as she passed them in the hallway.

"He's already having party?" Mal looked over at Evie as she shut her locker.

"I think it's like a back to school party." Evie answered.

"Hey girls. I like your outfits." Ben told them since they were wearing their cheerleader uniforms.

He was wearing white pants, a yellow button up shirt, and his letterman jacket.

"I really like your jacket." Evie said ignoring his compliment.

"Uh... Thanks Evie." He said with a smile. "So will I be seeing you two at the party tonight?"

"Actually I don't..." Mal was going to say.

"Yeah you will." Evie cut her off.

"Great. I'll you guys later then." Ben gave them one last smile before walking away.

"Oh my!" Evie started freaking out. "We just got invited to Ben King's party!"

"Okay chill Evie." Mal said.

"Uh... Excuse me, Evie?" A shy boy walked up trying to get her attention.

"Huh?" Evie looked over at him.

"Do you mind? My locker is right there." He pointed behind her.

"Oh. Sorry." Evie stepped aside for him to get to his locker.

(In Evie's chemistry class)

Evie walked in and saw Ben sitting at a lab.

"Hey Ben." Evie walked up to him.

"Oh hey Evie." Ben replied smiling at her.

"Can I be your partner?" Evie questioned.

"Y-yeah of course." Ben scooted his chair over so she had enough room.

(At lunch)

Mal was in line getting her lunch. Ben was walking in and saw Audrey was going to make her way to Mal to be rude and tease her. So Ben quickly walked up and got behind Mal.

"Hey." Ben greeted her.

Mal looked behind her at Ben with a confused smile. "Hello."

"Excited for tonight?" Ben wondered.

"Definitely." Mal said sarcastically, then she turned back around.

After Mal got her food she sat at the table with Evie, Carlos, and Jay.

"So are we all going to the party tonight?" Jay checked.

"Unfortunately yes." Mal shook her head and slightly rolled her eyes.

She was fixing the skirt of her cheerleader uniform. Then Ben walked over and sat beside Mal.

"Hey guys." Ben said fist bumping Carlos and Jay.

"Hi Ben." Evie leaned over and waved to him.

"Hey Evie." Ben waved back.

"Bennyboo!" Audrey called over to him.

"I'm coming!" Ben called back. "I gotta go. I'll see you guys later." Ben stood up and walked over to the table with his other friends.

(At the party)

The four of them were walking up to Ben's house.

"It feels so good to be out of the uniform." Mal said relaxing in her comfortable clothes.
