A Little Concert

(The next morning)

Mal opened her front door and Harry was just standing there.

"You are very creepy. How long were you standing there?" Mal told him and asked.

"Not long." Harry lied.

He held out his hand and Mal took it. Then they started walking towards the bus stop.

"Hey guys. Wow. Wait are you two dating?" Carlos asked them.

"No Carlos we're just holding hands for fun." Mal replied speaking sarcastically.

Carlos jokingly rolled his eyes, then ran off.

"Mal! We need to talk... Oh you and Harry?" Evie spoke.

"Yeah... Evie look I know what you're gonna say, but..." Mal started saying.

"No, no if you're happy, then I'm happy for you." Evie assured her.

"So what did you need to talk about?" Mal wondered.

"Oh yeah. Can I talk to you alone?" Evie asked and glanced at Harry.

"Oh yeah. Uh... Harry can you leave us. We'll be there soon." Mal turned to him and said.

"Sure." Harry nodded, then leaned down a little and kissed Mal before walking away.

"So what's up?" Mal turned back to Evie.

"On Saturday night I ran into Doug. Then he offered to walk me home. When we got to the gate before he left I-I..." Evie couldn't finish.

"You what?" Mal was trying to get it out of her.

"I kissed him." Evie blurted out.

"You what?!" Mal basically shouted.

"Yeah..." Evie said.

"Are you two like dating now?" Mal questioned.

"No because..." Evie was going to say.

"Come on girls! We don't want to miss the bus." Jay ran to them and grabbed their hands, then continued running.

(At school)

"Hey. Hi." Ben was saying to people as he walked in.

"He seems happy about something." Carlos mentioned as they stepped off the bus.

"Yeah." Jay agreed. "Mal do you know what that's about?"

"Why would you think I'd know?" Mal questioned looking over at Jay.

"Because you and Ben..." Jay was about to say.

"Dude if she said she doesn't know, then she doesn't know." Harry defended her.

Mal looked over at him and smiled. Then she took his hand again.

The five of them walked into school. Ben was standing against the lockers talking to Ben. Then he looked over and saw Mal and Harry together.

Evie glanced over as they were walking by and saw Ben looked upset.

(Second period)

"So you and Harry, huh?" Ben asked sitting next to Mal.

"What about us?" Mal responded not looking up from her notebook.

"You two are a thing now?" Ben checked.

"I'm allowed to date whoever I want Ben." Mal told him.

"Y-yeah I know, but..." Ben started to say, then stopped and looked down.
