Chapter 6. My Date

"Make sure you bring the dress to Iya before 8 AM. I've chosen from the list and I wanted the silver one. Be responsible for choosing the shoes for Iya. Don't get her something about 5 inches and higher." Utos ko sa secretary ko on the phone.

"Okay, sir. Should I also send her a makeup artist and a hairdresser?" Stella asked.

"No need. Iya would hate that." 

"Okay, sir. Is that all?" Tanong niya.

"I'll be busy in the morning so send her breakfast as well. Omelet eggs with cheddar cheese and chocolate chip scone too." 

"Anything else?" She asked.

"Just make sure Iya gets everything she needs. If she ever asks for a favor, do it. I want you to prioritize her comfort." 

"Okay, sir. That's noted." She said.

"That would be all. Thank you." I said before ending the call.

Tomorrow's event is a big one and it freaks the hell out of me. For sure, dad will be introducing me to all of the people there. And both Iya and I will be carrying the weight of representing the entire Alfaro enterprise. I just feel better that Iya is with me. Somehow her presence brings me a sense of relief and comfort. Ang swerte ko talaga sa kanya. 

The next day, I woke up around 9 in the morning and noticed that I received the two messages from Iya thirteen minutes ago.

From: Kulot
I hate the dress

I wasn't able to check what dress Stella sent her because I have no idea about women's wear but I chose something similar to mine which is silver in color. And alam ko naman na despite the design, Iya hates wearing dresses anyway.

I checked the other message from her.

From: Kulot
I'm doing this for you and this shit lasts only for today. Lagot ka sakin after the party.

I chuckled to read the message. What a pleasant morning threat from my Iya right there.

I stood up and then went to the kitchen to make myself breakfast when my phone vibrated again. I opened it and it was another message from Iya.

From: Kulot
Badtrip 'yung assistant mo ah. But thanks for the breakfast.

I smiled and then typed a message to reply.

To: Kulot
Badtrip din ako diyan minsan haha. Eat a lot.

I made myself omelet eggs, fried rice, and coffee. I was having a peaceful breakfast when someone unexpectedly barged into my condo.

"Morning!" Kelly said with a smile on her face.

"Good Morning. I'm surprised. Anong ginagawa mo dito?" I asked her. She walked toward me and kissed me on the cheek.

"I made you breakfast." She said and I can't stop but smile in return.

"Really? Wow, Thank you."
