Chapter 44. Date?

"Don't be too overwhelmed. When in doubt, read the question again," I told Ivan as I fixed the button of his polo.

"Copy," He said. 

"Always take note of the key terms," I said as I quickly brushed Leo's hair with my hands.

"You don't have to memorize everything but analyzing it, will help you better," I said as I tap Chad's shoulder. 

"Shrug the nervousness and embrace confidence. Believing in yourself will result in positive results," I said.

"And I believe in all of you," Dagdag ko. 

"Let's ace the final exams," Elli said while looking at me. 

"Let's fucking do it!" Sabi naman ni Ivan. 

"Hell yeah!" Matthew replied.

After a lot of stressful and tiring nights, we finally came to the day that we've all been waiting for, the finals. We had an entire week to prepare for this day and there are nights that we smell like caffeine and ramen and there are times that we can no longer open our eyes from all the sleepless nights. The pressure is up and the finals will determine if we will graduate and we are very eager to finish this day, walk to the stage, celebrate Christmas and New Year, do our internship, and finally enjoy and carry our own titles. Who knows, we could be calling each other not by names anymore. It could be Engineer Rivas, Doctora Bernardo, or Architect Corpuz. Hard work and determination are all it takes to be able to achieve this. And if we persevere, we will surely get there.

"Good luck, baby," I told Elli before entering the room. We will be using different rooms so he can't go after me and make me repeat what I just said. Halatang nagulat siya sa sinabi ko kaya naman natawa na lang ako sa itsura niya. He is so damn cute. I'm thrilled that he's mine. 

I have three major exams and we have five hours to finish them. To be honest, I did great. I did my best to ace my exams and whatever the result will be, I'll be proud of myself. It was 4 PM when I finished the last exam. I was eating my favorite chocolate bar when I left the room. When I came out, the squad was already outside waiting for me. 

"How was it?" I asked immediately. 

"Iya, kase ano eh," Ivan replied with a sad and low tone.

"Kase?" Tanong ko.

"We aced it," Sabi ni Leo kaya hindi ko mapigilang mapangiti.

"I knew it!" I said and they all approached me, hugging me tightly.

"Damn, I am so proud of you guys," I said, teary-eyed.

"Of course we will ace it," Matthew said.

"We have the best tutor in the world," Sabi naman ni Cheska.

"The universe rather," Kelly added and we all burst out laughing in return. 

"My girlfriend is great isn't she?" Tanong ni Elli bago niya 'ko akbayan. 

"What the fuck!" They all complained when Elli kissed me on the cheek.

"Ew," Sabi ni Kelly kaya naman natawa kami.

"Sup guys," We turned around and saw Chad approaching us with a huge smile on his face.

"You aced it too?" Matthew asked and Chad nodded in return.
