Iya Nadine Bernardo
That made me smile so I said yes. One date wouldn't hurt so why not? After all, si Chad naman yun.
After the dinner, we all parted ways aside from Elli na gusto akong ihatid sa apartment.
"Ew! Like the fuck? Seryoso? Ano 'yun?" Elli said in disgust kaya tinawanan ko na lang siya.
"Ang cute kaya," I commented.
"Cute 'yun sayo?" Tanong niya kaya naman tumango ako.
"Ang baduy kaya," Sabi niya naman.
"Baduy yet that made me say yes to a date," I said and he just rolled his eyes at me.
Tingnan mo 'tong attitude na 'to.
"For what?" Inis kong tanong.
"Anong for what? Binilin ka sakin ni Tita Melissa. You were mine since age six," Sabi niya kaya naman binatukan ko siya.
"I'm 20 years old not 14.
Kahit san naman ako mapunta o kahit sino pang tao ang kasama ko, I'll make sure to never do anyhing na ikaka-worry mo," I said but he just stared at me, still not assured.
"Ang dami mong sinabi. Basta mag update ka pa rin sakin," He said only annoying the hell out of me.
Ang kulit! It feels like I'm dealing with a ten-year-old kid.
"It's just a date. My date, my business," Sabi ko naman.
"You are my business," He said with emphasis.
"Whatever you do or whoever you are with, it matters to me," Elli said in the most serious tone.
"Masyado ka namang seryoso," I said and giggled, trying to break his seriousness pero mas lalo lang naging seryoso ang mukha niya.
"I don't want to demand you at all Iya. But right now, I demand that you see me as more than just an immature 20-year-old. Because I'm more than just that. I want to be more than that pag dating sayo," He said and I have zero idea about what he's talking about because Elli has never been this serious.
Whenever we are together, it's all just fun and games. But right now, he seems different.
"Elli, ano bang sinasabi mo?" I asked, half nervous.
"Seryoso ako, Iya. Anything about you and everything that involves you hella matters to me. Kaya sana 'wag mong gawing biro 'yung pagiging ganito ko sayo. I hold on to a promise that I gave Tita Melissa thirteen years ago and that is to take care of you. At pag dating sa bagay na 'yun, seryoso ako," Elli said and as I study his face, I notice that his eyes are kinda sad. And knowing that he holds such sadness makes me sad as well.
Is it because he mentioned my Mom? or is it because I am such a disappointment?
"I'm sorry Elli," The only thing I can say.
"For what?" Tanong niya.
"Sa pagiging pasaway. Sa hindi pakikinig sayo. Sorry for those that I have done, that I'm doing and will do in the future," I said sincetely and Elli just stared at me before chuckling softly.
Since I have work at the coffee shop, dumiretso na kaming dalawa ni Elli sa trabaho ko.
"Sir, no smoking allowed," I said politely before on the slogan pasted on the coffee shop wall that says, 'No Smoking'
"Nakasindi na ba?" Pabalang niyang tanong.
He smirked at me then he bent the cigarette in half saka niya itinapon ito sa sahig.
"Oh ayan. Okay ka na?" Tanong niya.
"Pakipulot na lang. Bawal ho mag kalat dito," I warned him but he just smirked at me.
This fucking asshole is getting on my nerves.
"Babayaran ko na lang yung frappe, sir," I said and smirked.
And when I say hard, it really was damn hard.
"Not my Iya," Sabi ni Elli at kasabay nito ang pag bagsak ng lalake sa sahig.
