Chapter 10 ~ Concert Time

Laura's Pov

After dinner, we went to the arena. We went backstage and went back to the guys' dressing room. The guys got their hair and makeup done while I just sat and watched.

Cal came over to me and handed me a backstage pass. "Don't lose this. You're gonna need it all of tour. But low key, if you lose it, I can get you another one." I nodded and put it around my neck.

He kissed me and said, "I love you." "I love you too baby."

Lou grabbed Cal and said, "Cmon Calum. You need to get your hair done." "You're no fun."

"Cmon." She pulled him over to her station and sat him in the chair. Luke came over to me and said, "I'm glad you're here. He seems so much happier."

"I'm glad I'm here too. It's hard being away from you guys." "So. Who's gonna be Cal's best man at the wedding? At least in your opinion."

"I'm not in charge of who he picks." "But if you could guess, who do you think he would pick?"

"Hm. Nash." "You're kidding right?"

I shrugged and said, "He loves my brothers. What can I say?" "You're not nice."

"But I'm truthful." Ash said, "Laura. Cmon. Be nice to him."

"I didn't do anything wrong. I just told him my honest opinion." "Really?"

I nodded. He said, "Fine. Although, I'm obviously gonna be the best man."

"Well. If that's true, then Luke can be my maid of honor." Luke said, "Enticing. But fuck that."

"But you'll make such a pretty maid of honor." "No Laura."

"Fine." "You need a girl maid of honor. Not a boy maid of honor."

"I know. But I don't wanna choose." Ash said, "Luke. Stop stressing her out. She just got engaged a few days ago."

"Exactly. And it's not like we can get married until after tour anyways. But. Ash. I need you to do me a huge favor and be part of my entourage when I go dress shopping. I know it's not fun for guys. But you're good at this stuff." "I don't mind going. It's not like I won't be doing it for Lauren when she gets married."

"If she wants you there." "I'm sure she will."

Cal came over and said, "Will you stop pestering Laura about our wedding?" The guys nodded.

"And Luke. I haven't decided who the best man is going to be. So stop asking." The guys nodded and walked away.

Cal sat next to me and said, "You know I've already picked my best man, right?" "Yeah. But you never told me who."

"Oh yeah. Ash is gonna be my best man. He doesn't even know it yet. Have you picked your maid of honor?" I shook my head and said, "It's hard. Because I don't really have a lot of girl friends here and I'm not super close with the friends I used to be close with. But I know I want Mali and Lauren and my mom and Sky to be in the wedding. If Sky was older, I would pick her to be my maid of honor. And since my mom's married she can't be my maid of honor. And I feel like Lauren isn't quite ready for the responsibility. And I want to pick Mali. But i don't want to stress her out."

"Babe. You're definitely overthinking this." "I know. But. I want this to be perfect. This is a story we'll tell our kids some day."

"I know baby. But there's no point in stressing yourself out over it right now. We still have to pick a date. That's the first step." I nodded.

"No matter what happens, it's going to be an amazing wedding because I'm marrying the girl of my dreams." I kissed him and said, "I love you."

"I love you too beautiful." Mikey said, "Cal. We gotta go backstage."

Cal nodded and grabbed my hand. We went backstage and the guys got set up. Cal put his earpiece in and said, "I love you baby. I'll see you after the show."

I kissed him and said, "I love you baby. I can't wait to see you go kill it."

Then he went with the guys. I got on the side of the stage so I could see and I heard the intro music start. The fans started to go wild. Soon the guys walked out and started playing. I've always loved watching Cal perform. He just always seems so happy on stage. Throughout the set he kept looking over at me.

At the end of the first set, they all rushed back and changed. They all got some drinks and Cal came over to me.

"Are you enjoying it?" "Yeah baby. I love watching you perform."

He kissed me and said, "Just about another hour, okay baby?" "Don't forget you have the meet and greet baby."

"Okay. So maybe another 2-3 hours before we get back on the bus." I kissed him and said, "I'm perfectly fine with that."

"I love you." "I love you too."

Then the guys had to go back out. He kissed me one more time and went with the guys.

After about an hour, the show was over and the guys went to the dressing room to change for the meet and greet. Cal changed and fixed his hair and then the guys went to the meet and greet. I was there with all of their crew, just standing back watching them.

It warms my heart to see how much these boys have done for all of their fans. 2 hours later the meet and greet was over and we were heading back to the bus. As soon as we got on the bus, the guys went back to the bunks to change.

After Cal was changed he came over to me and said, "You ready for bed babe?" I shrugged.

"How can you not be tired?" "I don't know."

He picked me up off the couch and said, "Cmon. Bedtime." "Okay baby."

He laid me on his bunk and laid next to me. He wrapped his arms around me and said, "I'm so happy you're here baby girl. It was gonna be so weird not having you around."

"Trust me. I know." He kissed the top of my head and said, "I honestly just can't wait to marry you and have a bunch of little munchkins running around one day."

"I can't wait for that either. Especially the little munchkins. Can you imagine how cute our kids would be?" "We'd just have to keep them away from Michael so they don't learn any swear words."

Michael said, "I heard that." "It's true."

Cal said, "I just can't wait for that day. We have a nine month break after this tour. So we can get married and have our honeymoon and all the good stuff." "Doesn't exactly make for good timing for a baby Cal."

"You know I'll fly back for the birth if I need to." "I know baby."

"And. We could always push the tour back if you do end up getting pregnant." I nodded.

He kissed the top of my head and said, "Get some sleep angel. I love you." I snuggled into him and said, "I love you too baby."

Soon I fell asleep.
