Chapter 27 ~ Gender Reveal Time

Laura's Pov

So today is the day of the gender reveal. Cal and I had the appointment a few days ago and we gave the envelope to Sierra right after.

I honestly don't know what we could be having, but I'm hoping I at least get one girl. I am already overrun by boys on a day-to-day basis, I do not need another three. But of course I will be happy with whatever we're having.

I am 17 weeks along now and I feel like this pregnancy is flying by. I definitely got round pretty quickly. My bump isn't huge, but it's bigger than I expected to be at 17 weeks.

Cal and I have spent a good portion of the day laying in bed. The gender reveal is at 3, and it's currently a little before noon.

I've still been struggling with a little bit of morning sickness, but I mostly have it under control. Today has been a pretty bad morning sickness day, but Cal has been super helpful.

I've been up since 4 this morning because I've felt so terrible. I've tried to get back to sleep, but I just haven't been able to.

Cal's tried everything he can think of to help me get some more sleep, but nothing has worked. We need to leave the house around 1:30 because we're driving down to Chino Hills for the reveal since it's at Sierra's.

At this point, there's no point in me even trying to get some sleep because I need to start getting ready.

I started to get out of bed, but Cal pulled me back down. He said, "What are you doing baby?"

"I need to get ready Cal." "Says who?"

"Says me. We need to leave at 1:30, which only gives me like an hour and a half to get ready." "You already look beautiful though."

I rolled my eyes and said, "Yeah. Yeah. But I need to shower and do my hair and makeup." "You do not need makeup."

"I know I don't need it, but I like wearing it." "Okay. Fine. But I'm gonna be right here. So if you need something, don't be afraid to shout."

"Okay baby."

I got out of bed and went in the bathroom. I took a quick shower and then put on one of Cal's tshirts.

I went back in the room and Cal pulled me down on his lap. "Look at you. I love when you wear my shirts."

"Cal. I need to get ready." "No. Give me kiss."

I kissed him and said, "Now can I get ready?" "Yes, as long as you keep wearing my shirt."

"You're so annoying sometimes."

I went over to my makeup table and blow dried my hair. Once my hair was dry, I curled it and then I did my makeup.

Once all of that was done I sat on the bed next to Cal and said, "Baby. You need to get ready." "No. I don't wanna."

"C'mon. You need to shower." "Fine. But can I talk to my babies first."

"Sure baby."

I laid back on the bed and he laid his head on my stomach. He started talking to the babies and I just played with his hair. Recently, this has been one of his favorite things to do. He loves to just lay on the bed and talk to our babies.

After a few minutes I said, "Alright baby. Now go take a shower and get ready." He got off the bed and said, "Fine."

He went into the bathroom and I went into the closet to find an outfit. Once I was dressed, I went back in the room and went through some emails.

Cal came out of the bathroom and sat on the bed next to me. He kissed my cheek and said, "You almost ready to go baby girl?"

"Yeah. I'm ready whenever you are."

We went downstairs and got in the car. After a little over an hour we were at Sierra's.

We went inside and Cam immediately came over to me and said, "How are my babies doing?" I rolled my eyes and said, "Cameron. Chill out."

"But these are my nieces and/or nephews. I have the right to be excited." "Cam, we aren't related. But yes, you're their uncle. But I'm not gonna have you going crazy every time you see me."

"I'll behave. Now c'mon. Everyone's out back." We went out back with them and everything looked amazing.

Sierra came over to us and said, "Finally you guys are here. I'm so excited for all of this. I think almost everyone is here so we can get the gender reveal started shortly." I said, "This looks amazing Sierra. I can't believe you did all of this for me."

"Oh c'mon. I would never let my girl have a boring gender reveal for my adorable god babies." "Well. It looks amazing."

We went over to everyone else and soon it was time to do the reveal. Sierra had boxes in front of us with "baby a," "baby b," and "baby c" written on them.

We opened each one and found out we were having two boys and a girl. Cal and I were beyond excited.

The party lasted a little longer and once almost everyone was gone, we thanked Sierra again and started our trip home.

Once we got home we went inside and went up to our room. We got ready for bed and laid next to each other.

Cal pulled me in his arms and said, "So baby. Two little princes and a little princess. How do you feel?" "Well. While I always say I have enough boys around. I couldn't be happier to have two more boys joining our lives and being there to protect their sister."

"I know you would've liked to have more girls." "No babe. I'm just happy that I have at least one."

"I love you." "I love you more my little kiwi."
