Brian's P.O.V.
Myself and Jim burst through the doors of the bustling hospital, everything around us seemed so muffled, it was as if I was underwater.
Sounds were not clear and what I was seeing was hazy, almost as if I was drunk.
"Jim? Jim?!" I called, suddenly realising I was alone on one of the long hospital corridors, he had disappeared into thin air. I span around in a panic, my eyes darting everywhere, searching, people, nurses, doctors, patients all rushing around and bumping into me, as if I could see them but they couldn't see me.
"Hi, excuse me? Could you-" I attempted to ask a nurse where I needed to go, but she just walked away from me.
"Could you please tell me where-" I attempted to ask someone else, but they did the same thing.Panic and more panic was rising up inside of me.
I took off running down a corridor, then another, then another. They all looked exactly the fucking same.
"Jim?!" I called running as fast as I could, but every corner I turned looked like the last one. "Matthew?!" I attempted calling him this time, turning corner after corner. "Freddie...where are you...?" I could feel a lump in my throat forming but I kept on running until finally, I saw the back of Jim's head in a door way.
I'd found them.
I ran over, "Jim? Thank god, where did you-"
Suddenly Jim turned around, quickly putting his hands on my chest and pushing me away from the door.
"What? What is it?" I quizzed, trying to strain my neck and look into the room he had just been in to.
"Brian..." he started.
"What? Is it Freddie? Is Freddie in there? Is he awake?" I almost started smiling at the thought of seeing him, "Let me go in, let me go and see him" I tried to remove Jims hands from chest, going on tip toes, still trying to see into the room.
"Brian, you...you don't want to go in there..." he whispered, shaking his head.
I let out a baffled laugh and still tried to see into the room as Jim kept battling me away from the door, "What do you mean? Why? It's just Fred. I want to see him."
"Brian-"
"Jim let me in."
"No...I can't-"
"Jim. Let go of me."
"Brian, he's-"
"Let me see, Freddie." I hissed through gritted teeth.
"Brian, no." He tried to push me back harder which made me battle him off even more until we were almost brawling.
"Jim. I just-"
"Brian. He's gone...Freddie's gone."
I froze, staring at Jim. Everything went silent apart from my own racing heartbeat in my ears. Then everything went black.
"Brian?!" I could hear Jim's muffled voice and his hand on my shoulder shaking me, "Brian!" The shaking got more intense and so did Jim's voice. "Oi!" I heard him shout in my ear and suddenly I gasped loudly, sitting up, out of breath, I looked around me in confusion.
I looked at Jim, he was looking at me like I was crazy.
"What the matter with you?" He asked, suspiciously.
I exhaled loudly and let myself fall back into my plane seat. My heart still racing and those words still ringing in my head.
It was a nightmare. I was just dreaming.
