You walk over to the discarded navy book laying on the porch of Jasper's Cabin.
"She found this...I don't think she looked inside..." you sigh, dusting it off and handing it to Jasper.
"It doesn't matter now, my secret is out, there's nothing to hide." He pulls you close to him and kisses your lips.
"How's your neck? Are you hurt?" He asks, compassionately.
"I swear I'm fine, it'll take more than that to separate us again."
He smiles down at you, and moves a tendril of messed up hair behind your ear.
His eyes are filled with concern, and something else you couldn't quite identify.
"You felt it didn't you? Her pain?" You asked.
"Among other things..."he sighed, pushing his hair back.
"You'll wait for me here, wont you? While I go try to talk to her?"
"Of course. Whatever you need me to do." You say, trying to be supportive.
"Thank you, Nolana...for being so understanding."
He presses his lips to your forehead again, before running toward the main house.
"Anytime..." you sigh, softly.
You knew Jasper could handle himself, and that Carlisle and the others wouldn't let Alice hurt him, but still...You'd be lying if you said she didn't make you nervous.
Her anger, her rage, and all the power she had behind it frightened you, not for your sake, but for his.

.: At the Cullen house:.

Jasper could hear Alice's agonizing cries as Carlisle re-broke her jaw, trying to reverse the damage Nolana had done.
He could feel her pain as he made his way up the stairs, slowly, trying to find the right words to tell her.
She was sitting in Carlisle's office, tears still streaming down her face as she held her healing jaw in place.
"Alice?..."
Carlisle and Alice both turned to him as he stepped through the door.
"Can I talk to you?..." he asked. Her and Carlisle exchanged a look, and she nodded passively at him. Carlisle walked over to Jasper and placed his hand on his shoulder.
"Son, you know I love you and I support any decision you make. But I'll not allow you to be cruel to her." He whispered sternly.
"She's just as much apart of this family as you are. Do you understand? I'll not tolerate anymore violence from any of you."
Jasper nodded in agreement, he too was ready to put this to rest.
"Good...come down to the living room when you're done. We still have more to discuss..."
Carlisle patted his shoulder and walked out of the room.
Alice sat on the edge of the exam table, her head hung low as her spiky hair hid her face from the side. She seemed so docile now, so defeated.
"Alice...I'm so sorry." He sighed, he placed the book he was holding on a table beside the fireplace.
Alice didn't answer him, she didn't even look at him.
"I didn't want you to find out this way, I wanted to-"
"To what...Jasper? Sit me down to a candlelit dinner and go on a moonlit walk across the beach? Is that how you planned to tell me that our whole marriage didn't mean anything to you?"
Her tone was sarcastic and venomous.
"Alice, be reasonable...Our marriage wasn't meaningless to me. I did, and still do care about you."
She rolled her eyes and scooted herself off the exam table, before turning to him and glancing over at the navy blue book on the table. She gestured to it and Jasper nodded, giving her permission to look inside.
She picked it up and found the leather journal inside, she began to flip through the worn fragile pages, slowly, and thoughtfully. Seeing pages upon pages filled with nothing but Nolana, and how much her husband longed to be with her.
She shook her head as tears began to well up in her eyes. She wanted to put the journal down and step away, but she couldn't.
"I thought she was gone...Alice..." he whispered, tearfully. He couldn't tell if his tears were a reaction to her emotions or his own guilt. Suddenly, a faded old picture fell from the back of the journal and fluttered to the floor.
Alice bent down and picked it up, only to see that bitchy face looking back at her.
"She can't have you..." she whispered, crumpling the old photograph in her palms.
"50 years Jasper...we've been together for over 50 years and you kept this secret from me?"
"I'm sorry! I know it was wrong of me, but what's done is done...I love Nolana."
"No you don't, you love me! I saw it! My visions...that day at the diner when we met! We were suppose to be together forever!" She cries, throwing her arms around him. He gently pulls her arms from around his waist and looks deep into her eyes.
"If I knew that she was alive, I'd have never married you Alice." He said, sternly.
"We're leaving tonight. After I talk with Carlisle and the rest of the family...it's done..." Alice steps away from him slowly, her face begins to contort in an unflattering ugly cry as she shakes her head repeatedly.
"No...please don't leave with her...you can't leave me here like this..." she sobs softly.
"I care for you, Alice...but I can't keep pretending anymore. It's over...I'm sorry..." he says, walking out of the room and shutting the door behind him.
Alice begins to hyperventilate, she grabs the journal, along with all its contents, and throws it into the fireplace.
"This isn't happening! I won't let it!" She cries.
"I have to do something! I can't let him go, he does love me, I know it!"
She sinks down to the floor in front of the fireplace, watching the ashes of Jasper's deceit float up into the chimney.
Her heartache began to morph into something else...something more sinister.
His words begin to echo through her broken mind.
"I didn't know that she was alive...."
"If she wasn't alive...."
"I thought she was dead...."
"If she was dead...."
"If she was dead...."
Her eyes widened as it all became clear.
"I know what I have to do..." she smiled.
