1 WEEK TO THE PRESENT DAY...
[ HENRY'S POV ]
'Hoodies?'
'Yeah, anything really but that fricking outfit you're wearing,' Grey mutters as he chucks me a hoodie, 'You look too nice.'
'Urrr thanks?' I pull it over my shirt and ruffle up my hair. The young man in front of me takes in my look shaking his head.
'Nope, not going to work. Henry, you look like you're parents loved you.'
'Ouch, I now feel insulted by every person that takes drugs.' I snap back, throwing him a evil glare which he matches with a pout. He rumages through his draws in his small two room apartment until he brings out a shaver. Gesturing for me to perch on his bed, he silently shaves my head - the things I do to go undercover. This is going far but for some reason I think Blake's fully on board with it, as he shoves a needle through his ear.
'It really suits you,' he laughs lightly back as wipes the blooded needle on to his top, 'You look angsty.'
'Funny.'
Once Grey finishes the final touches, he shoves a piece of paper into both of our hands, with a name poorly written on: Aaron Slade.
'Aaron Slade?'
'Yep, that guy's been stealing my customer for about the last two years, never beaten me until recently. I think it's because he's not selling the normal stuff, he's selling experimental products to draw in a wider circle. That's my theory anyway,' Grey answers before lounging back down on the bed.
'So where is he?'
...
I run my fingers through my detroyed hair, as we turn into the alley way sereval streets away from Grey's place.
'It looks fine, Hen, don't worry about it,' Blake says pushing my arm away.
'How can you be so chill with everything? Do you ever get anxious at all?'
He ponders, like always, as if each answer is a mesage to the universe.
'Nope, not really, I mean you can't stress over erverything all at once. So what's the point even trying to? I try and go more with the flow,' he states kicking the rubbish out of our way. I would love to know how it feels to not have every issue ever being at the front of my head, sadly that never seems to be the case. Not only did I start this whole mess with issues with Ray, now I haven't even told Charlotte again about those messages, Jasper's in a coma, and now we're involved in a drug scandal. It's too much not to get stressed about.
'There he is,' the brunette whispers as he nudges me in the ribs glancing over to the man at the bins. Grey amonyonusly set us up with him as if we were buyers, so now I guess it's time to act the part. Aaron is around 6 feet tall with bold red hair that seems to be swoped down either side of his head, and despite this bold choice this isn't what draws me to him first. It's his full blown black suit and dress shoes, as if he's a weathly businessman.
'You got to be kidding me? I came all dressed up in this rubbish when he looks like that!'
Blake shushes me as he approaches.
'You got the word? I'm Braedan and this is Jace.'
The red haired man comes away from the wall and strides over to us with great ease.
'Jace and Braedan then, I don't think I've seen you in town before, new?' His voice sends chills down my spine - there's something so unsettling about it, it's deep but smooth, and most of all familar.
'New? No, we've just never seen you in town before,' Blake says shoving his hands in his pockets, before nudging me to carry on.
'Didn't hear much about a Slade in these part? You starting out as well?' I ask ruffling my hair once more, as I notice Blake grin ever so slightly.
'So I take it you heard about the latest shippment then? ' The dealer says as he breaks the slight silence of the dingy alleyway. I nod as Blake takes a step forward.
'Orange glowing orbs I heard, sounds pretty good to me. What do they do?'
'They're drugs, does it matter?' The brunette laughs as the red haired holds out his hand.
'Money - 500 for two.'
'500!' My heart drops, we don't have that money to purchase them and we can't exactly go empty handed. We need them to test on, we need them to see if they are the same.
'Sure,' Blake says handing him a wad of cash,' It'll cover it.'
Aaron ruffles through the money and smiles before handing us two orange orbs between us.
'Pleasure's all mine, boys.'
Hid body then trumples to the ground as Blake shoves his zapper back in his pocket, before runshacking the man's belongs.
'No ID, no way of telling anything about him, nothing.' I grab our money before heading off, I learned that from an old friend.
'Atleast we got what we came for - these beauties,' my parnter says holding them, and as he does they appear to glow just like the tiny orbs they appear to be.
So this is officially my favourite scene I have ever written, and it was purely only originally fuller so I guess that's good.
