6 MONTHS TO THE PRESENT DAY...

[ CHARLOTTE'S POV ]

'That's ridiculous ,' Piper laughs from the other of my phone, 'You should totally have got Jasper to go through with it.' She carries on laughing reminding me that despite the girl code - I'm never going to talk to her about anything like boys, she can't take anything serious.

'It was a new drug, and as much as I want to be involved in such a amazing project, I can't help but not want a third eye! There's not proof it's even a proper organisation.' I chime in as she finally comes to the end of her laughing fit. 

'No, but seriously Jasper would be ten times more appealing with a third eye or like a bat wing coming out from his face. Come on Charlotte, you need to let the boys try new things.' I find myself smirking at her sarcastic tone, which is quite refreshing compared to the more than depressing tone of yesterday.

'Piper, as humiliating and funny that would be, I can't let them go work as Guinea pigs for -'

'The T.R.U.T.H.!'

My eyes dart over to Jasper who slams the door behind him as he rushes over to me. He sounds flustered with a mix of excitement, as he jitterily snatches the phone off me.

'Bye Piper, Charlotte's busy.'

'JASPER, DON'T YOU DARE THINK ABOUT HANGING-'Piper's loud, screechy voice gets cut off as he ends the message before pointing to me enthusiastically. I grab my phone back already ready to phone back straight away,

'Jasper, what's wrong with you?'

He smiles widely as he starts to explains.

'So I went to Patina's-'

'Woah, let me stop you right there. I may only hang around with guys but girl code doesn't apply to you, Jasper.' I interrupt. I do not have the willpower to listen to that.

'What, no! What I mean is the experimental pill Patina took was made by T.R.U.T.H. . Apparently they've made these random miracle pills for over 100 people, and they've all worked.' I drop my phone as the call goes through, but all I can do is stare at him while Piper's voice sounds through. This changes a lot because if their projects actually work then what's to say their new pill can't! They could be revolutionary on all fronts of human life, and we... We just turned down their offer. Shit.

'The best bit - every doctor in Dystopia has approved of their methods and drugs in the past. It's a legit company, Char!' He smiles over at me almost bouncing on his heels and I finally see why he's acting this way. It's a sign. It must be. A sign that would should try this, that we should stop violence at the root, and now it feels like it just might come true.

'I still don't want to be a human trial, but maybe we could find another way in. I mean, you're right its amazing, they could literally cure anything!' After being friends with Jasper for so long, I can tell he's genuinely not just hyping it up for my sake but he sounds interested, and before long I'm also matching his excitement and wearing the same stupid grin on my face. 

'So?'

'Let's go down town, find Henry, and then lets go volunteer!'

So I've now got over 150 reads which is insane for me because this is my first fanfiction I've ever written, but also I literally had 100 two days ago! Thank you so much and I've so many more chapters coming I just need to actually upload them now to Wattpad,
