CHAPTER 21

After a minute or two of constant yelling and banging on the door, it finally stopped.

Woo, I'm safe! I thought it might've been a robber.. but they obviously know Mingi and tried to get his attention even though he wasn't home, so there was no way it would be a robber. Then who was it?

"Ah hah! Found it!"

Huh??? They didn't leave?? What did they find?

Yunho soon heard the doorknob shake and jiggle.

A key?

The door opened to reveal a man who seemed to be in his early 50's. He looked worn out and on the verge of being poor.

"Mingi! Where are you!?"

Shit i need to hide. But where??

Yunho frantically looked around the area to see where to hide. His best bet was behind the couch.
He waited till the man was facing the opposite direction, before making his way down to the ground.

Shit, I cant fit through here!

Yunho was panicking as he realized the space between the wall and couch was too small for him to squeeze through.

"Mingi! Are you home!?"

Is this guy an idiot? If he was home, he would probably come out by now..

Yunho didn't have anywhere else to go. If he tried to go anywhere else, he would be caught. For now, all he could do was hide near the couch in hopes he wouldn't be found. Unfortunately, he was a decent sized bird so there was almost no way he wouldn't be caught, unless this dude is too distracted.

"Tch. Bastard." The man said and walked over to the living room couch.

Shit.

He was almost found immediately.

"Huh a bird? What's a bird doing here? How did it even get in?" He reached over to grab Yunho, but he was quicker and flew upwards. "Come here you bitch!"

This guy has some major anger issues.

He remained in the air and out of the mans reach.
But then he started jumping.

"Get down from there!"

Yunho chirped in response.

God this man is annoying. Didn't even know he had the power to jump. He also reeks of alcohol and cigarette smoke.

Yunho flew higher towards the ceiling and continued to flap his wings to stay stable in the air.

"You're making me real angry you bird! Get out!"

This ain't your house stupid ass bitch.

Yunho built up the courage to fly lower and spit in the mans face.

"EWW GROSS. FUCKING BITCH, NOW YOU'RE GONNA GET IT!" He walked to the kitchen to grab a long wooden spoon.

"ARGH!" The man threw the spoon at Yunho but he dodged. "Damnit!" He picked up the spoon and continued to throw it at Yunho until Mingi entered the house.

"Huh?!! What are you doing here!?" Mingi dropped his belongings.

"Oh there you are! Come help me get this fucking bird."

"What bir- Yunho!"

"Eh? This thing has a name?"

"Stop! He belongs to me."

"Why should i stop? This piece of shit spit in my face!"

"So? Just stop and tell me why you're here!"

"Tch." The man stop throwing the spoon and Yunho.

Jeez. Mans is crazy. Gotta thank Mingi later. Yunho flew over to Mingi and landed on his shoulder.

Mingi closed the front door and put his belongings to the side.

"Why are you here? And how did you even get in?"

"The bird let me in." Hs snickered, "I was yelling your name to let me in, and I guess this bird of yours did it for me."

Mingi started laughing, "Do you expect me to believe that? What kind of story is that? He's smarter than that you know. Now just tell me why you're here!"

"Believe me or not, but it's true."

Mingi internally sighed. Is he really gonna think i believe that.. He really must be drunk. His breath smells awful.

"Fine. I came here to get money from you."

"What money? I'm not handing you any money. Are you crazy."

The man slapped him, "I am your father! Now, hand over $10,000 or I'll make this really hard for you!"

Father..? Yunho though.

"I never saw you as my father! You mean nothing to me! Now get out or i'll call the police!" Mingi said angrily.

I've never seen Mingi this angry before. Even his face is all red and his fists are clenched. Yunho thought and was honestly a bit frightened by this side of Mingi.

Mingi's father slapped him again, but even harder than before.

"I'll count to 5! If you don't agree to hand me over money, I'll beat you up right now." He demanded.

"Tch. Don't touch me with your filthy hands. I don't care what you do to me. I'm not handing you any money. You don't deserve to be given any money from me. I work hard for my money, while you sit around on your ass all day ruining people's lives!"

"Argh! You're going to get it you son of a bitch!!"

Yunho felt like he was about to transform into his human body. He flew off of Mingi shoulder and just seconds later, he was no longer a bird.
Mingi's father built up strength to punch Mingi nearly as hard as he could, but before he could, Yunho raced in front of Mingi and blocked the attack with his arms. (This feels like some type of anime, lol).

Argh! That hurt...
