Yunho went back home empty handed, and was confused about the man he met earlier. He just shrugged it off, since he thought he really did just want to do a nice deed. He paid the taxi driver once he arrived back home and rung the doorbell since he didn't have a house key. He waited for a minute before the door opened.
"Welcome back."
Yunho nodded and immediately felt awkward. He walked in and took off his shoes.
"What did you bring back home? Doesn't look like anything to me."
"Err, well you see, I didn't have enough money.."
"See! I told you you should've just brought $5k with you."
"Pfft, no no no, i didn't need that much."
"How much do you need then?"
"I think $400 would be fine."
"$400?? That's a lot."
Yunho rolled his eyes, he's surprised about $400 but not $5,000?? What's up with this dude?
"Do you need it now?" Mingi asked.
"Oh, no. You can give it to me tomorrow. Thanks."
"Yeah, no problem."
The next day.
"Mingi, can I grab some money now?" Yunho asked. It felt odd for him to say that. It was almost like he was using Mingi for his money but of course that's not the case. He waited for an answer, but just got a nod instead.
Yunho sighed and took the money out of Mingi's wallet before going up to the front door.
However, before he could even reach it, the doorbell rang.Uh oh.. this is bad. What if it's Mingi's dad???? Yunho started to sweat.
"Arent you going to get it?" Mingi asked.
"Oh yeah! Sorry." Yunho said and carefully walked up to the door.
He unlocked it and slowly open the door, terrified for his life.
Thankfully, it wasn't his dad, but it didn't make him sigh in relief. How the..?
"Uh-"
"Who is it?" Mingi asked.
"Well.. IT'S JUST A PACKAGE!" Yunho yelled before going outside and slamming the door. "How did you find where I live??? Why are you here?"
"I came to give this to you." The man held out a small box.
The box was no bigger than his palm, and the outside was made of black velvet.
"What is it? Don't tell me.."
"Yup, I bought you the ring!"
"Argh.." Yunho didn't even know what to say at that point. "Okay well, my question for you is, HOW DID YOU FIND ME! Are you some stalker???? Are you here to lure me in and kill me??"
"Oh no no no, don't get the wrong idea. Didn't i say i wanted to buy this ring for you?"
He totally dodged my questions...
"You know what, just get out! Leave before i call the cops! I'll let you off the hook this time, but if you do anything fishy again, i won't hesitate!"
"Don't be some harsh! My parents can bail me out anyways if i am put in jail. Can't you just take the ring?"
"No! I will-"
"What is going on out-" Mingi opened the front door, "Seonghwa..?"
"Uh oh.. Mingi I can expl-" Yunho panicked.
"What are you doing here? How did you find where I live?" Mingi stepped out.
Yunho was speechless, so he just backed away.
These two know each other? There's definitely something fishy going on with this dude.
"Oh Mingi! Long time no see!"
"Don't give me that 'lONg tIMe nO sEe', why the fuck are you here!?"
"Isnt this is a coincidence? I didn't think you lived here with him." Seonghwa glanced at Yunho.
"Do you know him?" Mingi asked Yunho.
"N-no I don't."
"Of course you do, Yunho. Don't lie to him." Seonghwa snickered.
"Tch. I'm not lying! What are you up to??"
"Yunho, how does he know your name?" Mingi asked.
"Ugh. When i went out yesterday to buy something and i didn't have money, this dude offered to buy it for me but i refused and wanted to leave, but then he asked for my phone number and of course i didn't have a phone so then he asked for my name and i told him and left."
"I see. Well, why are you here?" Mingi asked Seonghwa.
"I came here to give Yunho what he had wanted to buy! Arent I nice?"
Mingi clenched his fists, "Then give it to him and leave. After this, we have no business with you."
"Alright alright! Don't have to be so rude. Here Yunho." Seonghwa handed out the box to Yunho again.
Yunho honestly didn't want to take it, but at this point he had to so he took it.
"Okay, bye bye!" Seonghwa left with a smile, but once he turned around his fake expression disappeared.
Yunho sighed, "Well that's that. I have no purpose of going out anymore. Let's go back in."
Although i never got a cake..
Mingi went back inside without saying a word. It was clear that he was angry.
"I'm sorry Mingi. I always put you through trouble dont I?"
"No, it's not your fault. It's his fault that you got involved with him. And to see him pop up in front of my damn house.." Mingi muttered the last parts.
Yunho looked down at his hands and opened the box. Yup this is it.. The ring.
"This is for you." Yunho said and held out the box.
"But wasn't it given to you from him?"
"Yeah.. But he doesn't know why I wanted to buy it. I wanted to buy this for you. Although it's not with my own money."
"Why buy me something all of a sudden?" Mingi seemed to soften as he took the box and opened it. "A ring? Oh my god are you proposing to me? YES!" Mingi hugged Yunho.
Yunho blushed, "No no no! I'm not proposing." He awkwardly chuckled, "I wanted to buy this for you in hopes it makes you feel better. Our names are engraved into it."
Mingi let go of Yunho and looked at the ring for himself.
"YH x MG." He read outloud, "I love it. Thank you. But what do you mean by 'make me feel better'? I feel fine."
"After what happened with your father, i thought it made you sad and angry. Plus, that time when you asked me to be your b-boyfriend.. Well, i never gave you an answer and you just assumed it was a no, so I assume it hurt you, didn't it? But.." Yunho started sweating a little, "But.. the answer i wanted to give wasnt a no. I wanted to give you a ye-"
Mingi immediately kissed Yunho. The older was shocked by his actions, but closed his eyes. It was just a quick kiss, but it made Yunho really happy.
"So you're saying you'll be my boyfriend!?" Mingi asked in excitement.
Yunho laughed, "Yes."
