Blue Jay at Sunrise [YUNGI] - DISCONTINUED

CHAPTER 9

Mingi walked to his small office area on the 8th  floor. On the same floor was 4 other offices as well as a break room. In the break room there were 2 vending machines. One for drinks and one for snacks (aka ateez 😂 sike they a whole buffet). There was also a fridge, microwave, tv, a small table with 4 chairs, a coffee machine, and some other small appliances.
The office was surrounded with glass walls, but one of the four being a regular dry wall. There wasn't a door, so anyone was free to walk in.
On Mingi's table was a computer, picture frames, and smaller things like pencils, stapler, pens, etc.
Mingi sat down in front of his desk and set Yunho down on the table. If he was being honest, he didn't even know if animals were allowed in the building. He assumed it wasn't allowed, but Yunho is a well behaved bird so there's no harm in it right? He hasn't seen his boss yet, but he usually does in the after noon.
Mingi immediately got to work while Yunho kept him company. 
Yunho was very bored, but it was lowkey kinda hot watching Mingi so concentrated on his work.
There was a sticky note pad nearby, so he decided to try to steal a sticky note. He grabbed the corner of the piece of paper with his beak and tried to pull it back in order to remove it from the stack.
It was a lot harder than he had anticipated, but Mingi saw him struggling, so he removed 3 sticky notes from the pile and gave them to Yunho.
He began to rip up the pieces of paper because he was bored.
After hours and hours of boredom, it was lunch break for Mingi.

"You made such a mess Yunho!" Mingi laughed and shook his head.

He collected a hundred pieces of shredded paper and threw it away in a trash can nearby. He picked Yunho up and put him on his shoulder and walked out of his office and happened to pass by his boss.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Kim (Hongjoong)." Mingi greeted and proceeded to walk towards an elevator.

"Good afterno- Woah what is that on your shoulder????" Hongjoong asked.

Mingi turned around, desperately not wanting to explain, "Um, it's my pet bird, sir."

"Why do you have a bird??"

"B-because i wanted to bring him here..?"

"And why do you think that's okay?"

"He's well behaved, and he'll be bored if i leave him at home."

"But all other pets have to stay at home."

"I know, sir, but he's different."

"How so?"

"That's a secret."

Hongjoong sighed, "Fine, you can keep him here, but if he causes any trouble, don't bring him here ever again."

"Yes sir."

Hongjoong said goodbye as he left.

"Woo that was a close one." Mingi looked at Yunho and continued making his way to the elevator.

He pressed the button to the elevator and waited until it arrived. A few seconds later, the door opened and there was a young woman on it.
He walked in and quickly greeted her and waited on the corner opposite of the lady, since the first floor button was already hit.
The woman looked to the side and stared at Mingi. He could tell she was staring at the corner of his eye and it made him extremely uncomfortable.
Yunho noticed this immediately and angrily chipped at her.

"Yunho?" Mingi asked in a puzzled voice.

The lady was shocked and quickly stopped staring at Mingi.
The elevator door finally opened and Mingi walked out first.

"Wait!" the woman said and quickly walked off the elevator.

Mingi turned around to face her, "Um, yes?"

"C-can I have your number..?"

Before Mingi could answer, Yunho chirped again and flapped his wings.

"Yunho!" Mingi shook his head in disapproval and turned his attention back to the lady, "I'm sorry but i'm going to have to refuse."

The lady sighed and nodded her head, "Sorry for bothering you." she said and ran off in embarrassment.

Mingi sighed and turned to Yunho, "It's okay, I can handle it on my own." he smiled and walked out of the building.
