CHAPTER 37

I messed up pretty badly in the last chapter 😅 Feel free to go back to reread it because I totally forgot Seonghwa and Yunho are animals in the morning (Only for people who were early to read it)

"Are you guys ready!? EEEEE SO EXCITING DONT YOU THINK!?"

Yunho and Seonghwa vigorously shook their heads.

"T-The sheep is talking?!" Mingi cried.

"Oh yes! I may be a sheep but I can speak perfectly~"

"How is she able to speak and we're not??" Seonghwa questioned.

"I'm able to speak because..! I really don't know! Haha, I'm not smart enough to understand how. Anyways, hello! Who are you?"

"I-I'm Song Mingi, nice to meet you..?"

"Likewise~ Are you here to send them off?"

"Uhh.. Only Yunho. This is so weird..." Mingi muttered the last part.

"Rude." Seonghwa muttered in his mind (if that's even possible-).

"Oh uh by the way, is there any way I'll be able to contact Yunho?"

"Oh, actually there is! Thank god I packed some transporter snails (One Piece anyone 😉?)." Jisu said and started rummaging through a bag she brought in.

"Transporter snails? What are those?" Seonghwa asked.

Jisu pulled out a transporter snail, which was about the size of a human palm.

"IT'S AN ACTUAL FUCKING SNAIL I-"

"These snails are used to communicate between two people. They basically work like telephones I guess you could say. Here." Jisu gave Mingi the transporter snail.

"This is um... Strange, but thanks?"

"You two will get transporter snails as well when you arrive at our destination. Do you have a sheet of paper? I have Yunho's and Seonghwa's numbers, so you can call them whenever you want. I'll give the phone number to Mingi's to the both of y'all later."

"Oh, I've got some paper, I'll be back in a sec." Seonghwa went to his office to retrieve a piece of paper and a pen. He then gave it to Mingi.

"Okay just write these numbers down, here's Yunho's"

Mingi got the pen and paper ready.

"********** and this is Seonghwas, **********"

Mingi wrote both of them down and stuck the piece of paper in his pocket. After doing that, he inspected the transporter snail.

"This is like.. Really weird. How does this even work?"

"If I'm being honest, I don't even know."

"It's an actual living snail, but a phone at the same time. Do I need to feed it and stuff?"

"Yeah, just treat it as a normal snail. Now, it's about time we go. Feel free to chat for a little bit, I'll go back outside and get ready."

"I'll go with you." Seonghwa replied and walked outside with Jisu, as well as San.

Mingi sighed and held out his hand. Yunho flew up and landed on his palm.

"I wish you could speak right now but, I guess this will just basically be a one sided conversation." Mingi sadly chuckled. "It's almost time for you to leave, so I'll try to make this farewell short."

Yunho chirped in response.

"I'm so glad you've been able to live with me for a long time. I've always been lonely and I didn't really care, but after you came into my life I realized the importance of having someone else by my side. This really sounds like we'll never see each other again" Mingi chuckled, "It's only a year but still. I'm so glad I have you as my boyfriend, although that would sound crazy to other people if they saw me talking to a bird.. haha. I hope you stay safe and have a good time in this... umm planet okay? I'll be waiting for you." Mingi brought Yunho up towards his face and kissed the top of his head. "Make sure to call me at least 5 times a week okay? Heh, I love you." Mingi made his way outside and said his final (not really) goodbye to everyone. They all left soon after.

Mingi sighed, trying to hold in his tears. "Let's go home." He mumbled to himself.
