CHAPTER 3

Yunho was still kinda weirded out by the fact that he's staying at a strangers house.
But the thing is, they've already became good friends in only a few hours.
Mingi let him use his shower, which he was thankful for, because gosh, he was a mess. He usually only bathes himself in dirty lake water. It was the only thing that was available to him in the outside world.

"After you finish, let me help you reapply medication to your wounds. Make sure you don't get water on your casts!!" Mingi said before Yunho made his way to the bathroom.

"Umm, where will I sleep?" Yunho asked.

"I don't have anywhere you could sleep except my bed." Mingi replied.

"Oh no no no, can't i just sleep on the couch??"

"No"

"Why not? It's YOUR bed, not mine. And this is YOUR house, not mine."

"But you're injured.. I'm not letting you sleep on the couch in that condition." Mingi poured at him.

"But i'll just turn into a regular ol' bird in a few hours."

"So? That's fine. I have to wake up at 6am to go to work anyways. The sun will rise up by then. I'll just move you to the box and leave out some food and water for you."

Yunho sighed, "Fine, whatever.." He felt guilty, because he didn't want Mingi to sleep on that small and uncomfortable couch. Especially since he saved his life. He felt like a burden.

By the time Yunho woke up, he was in the box he was in the day before. It was very cozy. He was tucked in, which made him internally laugh because just imagine having a bird and tucking it into a makeshift bed.
He was covered in a very light and thin piece of cloth, and the bedding was the same as yesterday.
Yunho just wanted to lay there all day, since this is the first time he had never had to worry about finding food and staying alive. He felt safe.
But, Yunho was hungry. He managed to wiggle himself out of the piece of cloth, and there was 2 small bowls of bird food and water in the corner.
He carefully made his way over to the bowls and started eating.
He took a few nibbles before carefully hopping onto the ledge of the box and looking at the time.

Damn, it's already 1pm??

This is the first time Yunho has ever gotten good sleep.
Lord, he doesn't want to talk about where he was living before he met Mingi.
He lived in a small and old shack. He often stayed at the shack for most of the day. Doing nothing.
He didn't want to risk going out into the world and getting hit by something.
But he did have to go out twice a day to find some food.
Now Yunho was very grateful that the dog from the other day injured him. But, he just hopes Mingi won't kick him out anytime soon.
Yunho guesses that he shouldn't take this moment for granted.
He has no idea when he'll be released back into the wild.
He doesn't want to, but he doubts Mingi would want someone like him living in his home.
