Chapter 26.

The reopening was tomorrow. The girls had all been busied with test runs and even a pre showing the day before for a few bloggers and local news between 1 and 3pm.and in these two hours had sampled out 18 of them, all with rave reviews, all creating a social media buzz in anticipation for the next day.

Renny hadn't had much time to see Brody, but they had texted as much as possible, sending memes and jokes and hello's, smileys and briefing of the day. She began to feel more comfortable with him this way, and slowly began to look forward to seeing him again. In his last text he had said he would stop by after lunch.

Melody had been humming around, cleaning and polishing and re organizing her cook station. She was able to handle the coffee orders like a pro now, she tried not to get in Sam's way, and only took on orders when they were all busy.

When they had a moment, and Carole had gone to Molly's to make tomorrow's order, being larger than normal, Renny wanted to see if she could understand her a little more, if she had to admit it to herself, yes, to make sure Davis wasn't going to get hurt.

She had a feeling, Davis had been quiet and she figured it had something to do with Melody. So she was snooping, so what. Davis would do the same for her. She liked Melody, she trusted her and her own instincts on her, but still.

"How are you feeling about tomorrow?"

Melody was wiping down the spout on the espresso machine

"A little nervous, I guess" she scrunched her nose "but ready, feels like it's taken forever to get here!"

Renny agreed, nodding she stepped in closer, trying not to be obvious. She turned her back, and closed her eyes and listened "Davis is coming, you two seem to get along" and closed her eyes as tight as she could

"He's a great guy, I like his company"

Renny couldn't sense any change in her, there was no real connection when she heard his name. She opened her eyes "He is a great guy"

"How's the peach tree going?" Melody asked, more interested in that.

"Oh, it's hanging in there, I think. Hasn't lost any more leaves, hanging on to those five"

Melody giggled "im praying for it"

Renny gave up reading. There was nothing, not even a pulse in her ora.

Carole came back with receipts "Ok we included the Danishes with your cheese in the order and Molly told me she'd have it all ready by 5am"

And then Melody pulsed and radiated. The intertwining colors refracted and she flamed up the second she heard the name, Molly.

Renny's adrenaline rushed through her the way it did when she got an answer, when something added up or when her guides sent a sign.

.

Melody wasn't interested in Davis, she was interested in Molly.

She would ask her mother later more about Davis and Melody, she knew everything and was sure she knew more about it than she let on.

"Great" renny huffed, and then included "that you have all that organized... so were all set then" she gave a final visual sweep "are you ready mom?"

"Sure, ok. You good Sam?"

"I got it Miss Carole. Bye Renny"

"See you bright and early" and then "see you at six Melody" and "i'll be in the car mom" on the way out.
