Chapter 31.

"You'll love it there Renny, Oh there's a beautiful stream nearby, take a picnic you'll just be blown away by the scenery!" Melody spoke fondly of her aunt's cabin, while she pressed and served her very popular paninis. It was lunch hour, she had mastered her grills by demand enough that she could already operate automatically and chat at the same time.

"And the deer, oh at dusk there's some deer who'll eat apples from your hands"

"As long as they're not like choco" Renny winced

"I should turn choco into chops, he scarred you for life"

"Renny had never liked animals much" Carole added "She once got chased by a sheep at a petting zoo, she swore the sheep had it in for her but she had the feed pellets in her pocket!" Carole laughed

Renny winced again "I like animals, they don't like me" she said indignantly

"Are you leaving early? It's the nicest drive as the sun comes up" Melody cut the Panini in half, added some of her hash brown side, and a spoonful of her creamy cheese sauce with herbs on the side "Oh, and leave some scraps out at night for Fester" She said taking the well presented plates to the customers, two ladies who took a large sniff of their 'Good Gruffs' Paninis, with fried tofu, bleu cheese, red peppers and onion on a bed of lettuce and carole 'zazz sauce' - her spicy dip slash sauce

"Yum, amazing,'' one of the women said to Melody "I was here Saturday, for the opening? I had to bring my friend to try this. We needed food like this in town"

"Thank you!" Melody said "If there's anything else i can get you"

The girl brushed her away by immediately diving in to the sandwich, both of them moaning in delight while they chewed

"Skunk" Melody said, turning back to the ladies behind the counter, who were ringing up a coffee order. The customer turned, cocking an eyebrow "Fester, he's a skunk. Well, she. She had a littler last year, but she doesn't spray, usually if you just leave her alone. She sleeps under the porch"

"Remember when that skunk held you up when you were coming home from your friends house? Oh you must have been only twelve or so"

"Seventeen" Renny corrected "And it too chased me

"Did it have babies? They're usually very spunky if they have babies." she whistled

"I didn't see babies" renny scrunched her nose, hoping Fester was childless this year "that thing just plain had it in for me, It actually turned back from the neighbors yard to come after me! The thing almost ran backwards at me it was so determined to get me"

Carole snorted under her breath, Melody caught it and out her hand over her mouth, and Renny put her hands on her hips.

"Maybe she's gone this year" Melody snickered

Once the rush had died down, and Melody stopped cooking at two, the girls cleaned up for the day, leaving Sam for the close.

"What are you guys up to tonight?" they said on the way to their cars

"Oh I'm going to meet the girls at Mave's, we're going to have wine, chinese food and Casablanca"

"Uhh!" melody sighed jealous "That sounds so fun. What about you Renny, seeing Brody tonight?"

"No, he's busy with a new fence?"

"Oh, that's right. He's got 5 new goats coming, he's expanding the south field"

"What about you?"

Melody's face lit up "Me and Molly are having dinner"

"Where?"
