Ela POV

It was time to pick up Anna from preschool once again. The past couple of days with her have gone by so fast it's surprising. I've had so much fun with her and (y/n) that I almost forgot her parents were supposed to come home in a few days. I was actually kind of dreading it. I didn't want Anna to go yet, and (though this may be my ego talking) I don't think she wanted to leave yet, either. She seemed to have the time of her life when she was with us.

(Y/n) was helping that, too. He's been nothing but supportive throughout this entire experience and he's been a reliable playmate for Anna. Just yesterday they were having a little sword fight with paper towel tubes, where Princess Anna was able to make the big bad (y/n) stop his evil ways and as payment for his crimes he had to give her cookies. It was silly, but wholesome for me to watch.

I park by the preschool and walk in. I expect it to be chaotic like normal, but surprisingly it was not. It was actually very quiet. This was because apparently I arrived during nap time, as I see several kids sleeping (or pretending to as there were a few whispers from a corner), mostly on beanbags. The teacher notices me and waves before quietly going to a beanbag where Anna is clutching her tiger close to her. She wakes Anna up, who rubs her eyes before turning her head to see me. The face she shows when she looks at me is nothing but elation, happy that her aunt has arrived.

Anna runs up to me arms open as I get down to her level, welcoming her hug attack. "Hello Anna." I whisper, smiling. "You have fun?"

She nods her head and we separate. I mess with her hair for a second before the teacher hands me a clipboard and pen to sign Anna out. Once she's signed out, I hold Anna's hand and together we walk out of the preschool to my car. She gets into her car seat in the back and I start the car, turning down my music before we head home.

"What song is this Auntie Ela?" She asks.

"This one is Welcome to Paradise by Green Day." I start to drive off and head to the house. "Do you like it?"

"Yes!"

"Then I will leave it on. So what did you do today?"

It's silent for a couple seconds. "I don't know."

"You don't know?" I hear silence, and I think she shook her head, but I can't see it since I'm supposed to be looking at the road. "I can't hear you shake your head."

"No."

Okay. Now we begin 20 questions. "Did Miss Glencross read something to you?"

"Yes."

"What did she read about?"

"Uhhh. She read to us about this penguin." She then started to describe the story in some detail, but I couldn't follow due to how she described it. It was nice to hear her talk, though.

"Did you enjoy the story?"

"It was okay."

"What didn't you like about it?"

"I don't know."

A small laugh escapes me. "That's okay. Sometimes we have to think back on things before we have an opinion." A moment of silence. "Are you hungry Anna?"

"Yes!"

"What would you like to eat?" She thinks on what she'd like, but I know she has no idea, so I suggest something. "You want chicken nuggets?"

"Yeah!"

"Then we will get you some chicken nuggets."

After the chicken nugget run, we head to a park. It was actually sunny for once, and while it may last only a couple of hours (British weather being British weather), I figured I may as well take advantage of it. I set up camp at a picnic table and Anna starts to play on the playground. I take a picture and send it to (y/n) and Zofia. (Y/n) quickly responds wishing he was there. Zofia's response takes a bit more time, but she does thank me for the photo.
