Ela POV
Tomorrow was the final full day we had Anna, and I was already missing her despite the fact she hadn't even left yet. It was fun having her around, and to be honest she helped me feel things in ways she couldn't understand yet. I honestly think we both grew in the little time she was over in numerous ways, at least that's what (y/n) said. I know that my sister lives close by and Anna can visit me whenever, but it makes me somewhat disappointed I won't come home after my run to that beaming face at the kitchen table eating cereal and waiting to hug her aunt.

"That's why I want our final day with her to be extra special," I tell (y/n) lying in bed next to him. "I mean, we have the day off. I want to spend as much time together as possible before my sister picks her up."

"I feel ya. What do you have in mind?"

"I don't know." I rest my head against the pillow and look at the ceiling. "Part of me just wants to stay home, but we have the day off, right? I don't wanna stay on base again so I'm thinking we go somewhere with her. The forecast for tomorrow is going to be very nice for once."

"Yeah. I'm actually kind of excited to see the sun again."

"Right? It honestly couldn't be a better day to end things on."

"So you know you want to go somewhere, but where exactly?"

I think for a little while. "London is too far for a drive with a four year old."

"Definitely."

"Well, if the weather is good like it's predicted to be, we can try going to Cotsworld Country Park. I think it would be fun for Anna."

"What's that? Just a park close by?"

I shake my head. "No it's this inland beach by Cirencester. I think Meghan said it's the largest in the UK. Supposedly it's good for swimming."

"Anna can't swim."

"No, but last time I checked you don't need to swim to stand in water or splash each other. They may also have floaters or something."

"An inland beach?" I nod. "You sure Zofia would approve?"

"Since when do I care if Zofia approves something?"

"I mean, Anna is her daughter."

"If we don't take her to a lake for a day of fun, who will? Zofia was traumatized at the lake because a couple of kids in her class almost drowned her. We're gonna be with Anna when in the water or if anyone lays a finger on her I'll bust their ass."

"Okay." He seems a bit skeptic about the whole thing.

"If it bothers you that much, we can make Anna promise not to tell Zo."

He smirks and looks at me. "You trust a four year old to keep a secret about having fun at a lake?"

"She's keeping the one of us being together. Not that it really matters anymore, but she is."

"She told the cashier at Tesco that she was with her aunt and uncle."

I scoff. "We told her not to tell her mom or dad. Last time I checked neither one of them is a teenaged cashier at Tesco."
