Ela POV
"Hey."

"Yeah?"

"Why are we here?" I ask.

"It's one of life's greatest mysteries, isn't it?" Meghan responds. "Why are we here? I mean, are we the product of-"

"No I mean why are we here? There's no bomb that we could find and the football match is already halfway done."

"The threat is still there, and apparently it's being taken seriously otherwise we wouldn't have been called. So here we are in stadium security uniforms waiting for it to happen. Also it's soccer."

"Oh you Americans. Your version of football barely even uses feet!

Our radios went off, and we hear the voice of our team leader Adriano "Maestro" Martello. "Site A report."

Meghan scoffs. "We'll debate this later." She picks up her radio and says, "We haven't seen any activity in site A. I haven't seen anyone with my cams and Ela's mines haven't gone off."

"Site B report."

"No activity whatsoever. None of mine or Tina's traps have gone off and cams haven't shown anyone in this sector." The Russian voice of Maxim "Kapkan" Basuda reports.

"The short one and I haven't found any activity at Site C. Either our terrorists are late, lazy, forgot the bomb, or it was a false threat. Keep waiting and enjoy the game. We rotate again in half an hour. If Liverpool wins, drinks are on me!"

"Dunno how we can enjoy the game when we can't see it." I hear Meghan mutter.

She was right. While Maestro and Max "Mozzie" Goose were at a spot where they could watch the game, Meghan and I couldn't where we were stationed. We were at the end of a tunnel close to where maintenance was with no exciting sights to see. Just walls, trucks, and trash. The hum of... I don't know water or air - some generator thing I suppose, was annoying as hell. The sooner we rotated the better.

Waiting was probably one of the worst parts about some missions. Yeah it's easy, but it's boring! Even with Meghan by my side there was only so much we could talk about, and it's not like I can sit and draw. You never know if or when the enemy would show up, so you had to be prepared. Instead I'd zone out and daydream most of the time when not checking cams. These thoughts ranged from ideas of drawings, things I can do with (y/n), the cat, and what may happen tonight. As for tonight, I wasn't sure if I was fully ready. I mean, yeah I wanted to do you know what with him, but it was going to be a big step for me in a way if that makes sense. My thoughts about (y/n) make me wonder what he was doing right now.

Your POV
Currently you were at the veterinarian with the cat you found last night. The cat was quite adorable, and you loved seeing Ela's reaction to it (even though it caused you to not "do it" in the car). While you think it would make a fine addition to your household, it could still be potentially someone else's cat. Plus you didn't know how healthy it was, age, gender, basically you didn't know anything apart from it was a tabby cat and adorable. So the plan was for the two of you to go to the vet and see what the deal was about this cat. Unfortunately Ela was called to a mission, so you were flying solo this time.

"Are you ready, lil' dude?" You ask the cat, who is standing on a blanket you put on the passenger's chair. "We really need to give you a name."

You get out of the car and open the door to the other side, picking up the mewing cat. You give them a couple of head scratches before walking into the vet office. The bell goes off when you enter, and you're greeted by a younger dark-haired woman with glasses.

"Hello sir!" She greets with enthusiasm.

"Hey. How are you?"

"I'm doing alright. Who's this that you've brought in for us today?"
